I am so sorry, I know it's been weeks but I'm not going to make unnecessary excuses, so here it is and I've tried to make it as long as possible! Something pretty special happens in this chapter I guess ;) comment and tell me what you think!

I take a step back unsteadily, my mind reeling.

"I take eet you 'ad a pleasant journey," Anton smiles blandly.

"What do you want?" I say harshly.

"No need to be rude," his smile vanishes. "Zer eez a ball tonight at ze 'otel ver your mozer eez staying. You are required to attend,"

"I'm not required to do anything,"

"Ze paperz-"

"I'm tired. It's been a long day," I fold my arms and glare at him.

"Yes, I understand zat, but-"

"I'll think about it. Don't push me, Anton,"

"Zat eez twice now you 'ave interrupted me. Nine o'clock at ze Venitian Palazzio Hotel," he opens his mouth to continue but I slam the door in his face.

The happy bubbles inside me have vanished and been replaced by a jagged, uncontrollable rage. How dare he come here and ruin my evening, and expect me to turn up to some stupid ball? I slam my fist against the door.

"Nem?" Dan's voice drifts over from the sitting room.

"What?" I growl. I hear him get up and start walking over. Great.

"Are you okay? Was that-"

"Anton? Yeah." I reply shortly,

"Well what did he-"

"Nothing." I cut him off. "I'm going to rest," I say, walking towards the obscenely big bed in the next room.

I can hear Dan following me. Ignoring him, I lie down on the bed and lie on my side, facing the wall. I feel his weight sit on the bed next to me and I groan.

"What?" I grumble.

He places a hand on my shoulder and pulls me over so I'm lying in his lap. I struggle to escape, without much luck as his strength just about doubles mine. It doesn't help that my shoulder is tingling from his touch.

"Why are you upset?" he asks, smoothing my hair from my face.

"I am not upset!" I sit up indignantly, but he pushes me back down gently.

"Clearly," he snorts. "I'm not letting you up until you tell me,"

"And if I need the bathroom?" I raise an eyebrow at him.

"I'm not expecting us to be here that long," he smiles wickedly.

"Don't count on it," I tell him, folding my arms and lying back into his lap, making myself comfortable.

"You're so fucking stubborn! Is it really that bad?" he presses his forehead against mine, forcing me to return his penetrating gaze.

I frown. "I am not stubborn!"

"Tell me then!"

"It's not even that important!"

"Then why can't you just-"

"Fine!" I glare at him. "Anton wants us to go to a stupid ball tonight. Happy?" I say sarcastically.

"I don't get it.. What's the problem?"

"There isn't one. I told him no," I say, looking away.

Dan groans softly. "Why? There's nothing wrong with-"
