"Oh my God!" I gasped in astonishment, looking up at Liam from the Guinness World Records book that lay open on my lap.
"What?" Liam asked, amused. He peered over my shoulder and onto the laminated page in front of us.
"No way." His eyes were wide and he had a horrified look on his face that I was sure mirrored my own.
"How does that even-" I started, flabbergasted, only to be interrupted by a knocking on my door.
We both tensed as Alex's voice came from behind the closed wooden slap.
"Emilia?"
"Uh... Yes?" I called back uncertainly.
"What's going on in there?" He asked suspiciously.
"Oh nothing," I said, trying to sound casual. "I'm just talking to Claire on the phone."
"Is it alright if I come in?"
"No, don't!"
"Why not?" I could clearly hear the skepticism in his voice.
I glanced at Liam with fear in my eyes. If I wanted us to survive tonight I would have to think quick.
Let it be known that I don't think well under pressure.
"I'm naked!" I shouted, cringing.
I could hear exaggerated gagging noises from the other side of the door.
"Gross!" he shouted immaturely. I could hear his footsteps speedily depart, thumping heavily against the hardwood.
I turned to Liam and tried not to die from embarrassment. The heat in my face only increased when he gave me a teasing smirk. "Kinky," he said, winking at me in a playfully suggestive manner.
I groaned and buried my face into my hands. "I had to think quickly and I was still distracted by that woman that had 69 kids!"
Liam visibly shuddered. "How could anyone survive that? Is it even physically possible?"
I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts from that poor Russian peasant. I glanced at my clock and sighed.
"It's time to go, Liam," I said.
"No thanks," he replied, uncurling his long limbs and settling himself comfortably on my bed.
I scowled, trying to push him off but sorely failing. "Does almost getting caught mean nothing to you?"
"Not really," he replied nonchalantly. "You gotta learn to live the dangerous life."
I gave him an unimpressed look. "Is this you trying to be badass?"
"Is it working?" He asked with a cheeky smile.
I rolled my eyes and started dragging him toward the window. He chuckled but relented, slipping on his shoes.
He slid the window open but turned back to me with a small pout on his face. "Do I have to leave? Can't I stay a little more?"
I pushed the arm that was reaching for me away gave him a small smile, reaching up to playfully poke his nose.
"Nope. I gotta have my beauty sleep."
"But I could make you feel so much more beautiful if you just spent the night with me," He said, not trying to hold in his grin.
I rolled my eyes playfully and put my hands on my hips. "I'm done with your innuendos. Hurry and leave so I can close the window. It's getting chilly in here."
