" So why did you invite me for hot chocolate?"
I took a sip and shuddered at the warmth of the hot coco going down my throat and feeling the warmth go down to my stomach.
Tyler was sitting across from me with his hair all teased with no gel. He had on a black sweatshirt and jeans. We were in a booth at a small cafe I didn't even know existed.
" Two friends can't hang out?" Tyler asked, taking a sip of his hot coco.
" Whatever."
It seems like I say whatever a lot whenever I'm around him.
He grinned lopsidedly and I rolled my eyes.
" You seem a lot better though."
I shrugged.
" Yeah. Knee still hurts but I'm off crutches."
I held my cup, my forearms resting on the edge of the table.
" Well that's good. At least I can get my crutches back," he joked.
I rolled my eyes once again.
" You know you make me roll my eyes at least once every time I see you. But you can have them back. And your clothes too when I wash them."
" Keep 'em. I know you want them." he said with a wink.
I raised an eyebrow.
" How come you don't gel your hair when you aren't in school?"
He shrugged.
" No need to gel it when I'm not seeing anybody. Plus, I have a reputation to be the sexiest guy at the school. Not on planet Earth. My beauty would shock everybody," he said with a smirk.
" Is that your big ass ego speaking?"
He chuckled.
" Just speaking the truth sweetie."
I huffed and leaned back, taking a sip. It was a little cold now but I didn't mind.
" Don't call me sweetie."
He smirked and I wanted to slap it off his face.
" You know you like it. Every girl likes it."
" Definitely your ego."
He laughed a throaty laugh.
" What can I say. I'm beautiful and we both know it."
I leaned back on my side of the booth.
" I don't think you are beautiful." I said simply.
He raised an eyebrow and leaned forward.
" Is that right?"
I nodded and looked into his green eyes.
" I can show you how beautiful I am," he whispered with a wink.
I rolled my eyes and took a sip of my coco so he couldn't see my face being slightly red.
" I'm ready to go home," I said.
He raised and eyebrow and smirked.
" Your house is good too. I would prefer mine but the work will still get done."
I rolled my eyes disgusted.
" In your dreams lover boy," I said, getting up and slipping on my jacket.
He got up too and slid on his jacket as well.
" You're right. You were there."
I groaned and walked to the door and threw away my hot chocolate. Tyler did the same and I pushed open the door and Tyler walked out behind me. I got into his car, trudging slowly because of how high the snow was. The streets were already paved but nobody has done the sidewalks yet.
