It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday. Although it was a bit chilly, everyone was still out shopping at the mall for the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day. You didn't have a lot of money, so you put together a personal letter for your very popular crush, Mason. You had classes with him last semester and instantly fell in love because he was the class clown and breathtakingly attractive. Pretty much every girl in school wanted a piece of him but luckily, you knew he liked to hang out at this diner in the shopping center with his friends on Saturdays. All you had to do was get him alone and confess your feelings for him, it was gonna be perfect. You were wearing the cutest outfit you could put together and your makeup and hair were both flawless; He couldn't say no.
You got to the diner and it was absolutely packed with people, but you quickly picked Mason and his crew out of the crowd. With the letter in hand, you breathed in deeply and started towards him. You came this far, so you weren't going to back down now. Something bumped into you and you fell to the floor, dropping your precious letter. You rubbed your bottom in pain and frantically searched for your letter in the area where you fell, "Looking for this?" The voice distracted you as you looked up to see a young, red haired gentleman with your letter in his hand and a gentle smile on his face, "Sorry I bumped into you. Are you okay?" He extended his hand out to you to lift you up, "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you."
You dusted yourself off as he handed you the letter, "No problem. Is this for that guy over there?" He casually pointed to Mason like it was the most obvious choice. Growing nervous, you blushed intensely, "Is it that obvious?" He laughed and gave you an encouraging smile, "Yeah, a little bit. But that's alright, you should tell him how you feel. You'll only regret it later if you don't." He was right. If you were going to tell him, you needed to just go ahead and do it. You nodded in agreement with a new found confidence, "Alright, I'm gonna do it! Thank you, uh..." That's right, you didn't know his name. He gave you a bright smile and introduced himself, "My name's Suwa. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss..." You quickly broke the silence with a nervous tone, "My name's (Y/N)!" Suwa gave you some more encouragement, "Don't be nervous. Just get out there and tell him, alright?" You looked at Mason with your confidence back and started over to him.
When you got to him, you looked back at Suwa who was watching you from across the restaurant, giving you a thumbs up. You directed your attention towards Mason, who was with his friends and got his attention, "Hey Mason?" A blonde haired, blue eyed boy looked at you and quickly recognized you, "Hey, I know you. We have some classes together." You nervously replied, "Yeah, I'm (Y/N). We don't really talk in class, but I'd like to change that." He noticed the letter in your hand as you worked up a warm smile, "Is that for me?" He pointed at the letter and you blushed, and slightly panicked you replied, "Yeah, I wanted to give it to you in private if that's okay. It's a very personal lett-", He grabbed it from you before you could finish your sentence and started opening it.
"Hey Mason, wait! That's very personal, you should really read in private-", He started reading it out loud to his friends and your heart sank. "To my dearest Mason," they chuckled, laughing at your attempt to tell him how you felt but all you could do was stand there, frozen as they continued with their laughter. Tears started to fill your eyes as your confidence shrank, and their laughter was all you heard. A pair of strong, protective hands gently fell on your shoulders, "Leave her alone." You looked up, teary eyed to see Suwa staring straight at Mason with anger in his eyes. Mason stood up from his chair, "Leave her alone? Well, I believe she was the one bothering me. Right boys?" They all laughed as You looked down, your confidence shattered, "It's alright Suwa, let's just go." Suwa stepped in front of you, guarding you from their teasing, "Get back, (Y/N)."
Suwa punched Mason in the jaw so hard, he fell to the ground and the entire diner's attention was on them both, "Make her cry again, and you'll have someone else bothering you." You looked at Suwa in awe of what he just did. He bent over as Mason was croutched on the floor in pain, and grabbed the letter from him. He handed you the letter with a warm smile on his face, "Let's go. I'm not all that hungry anyway." You smiled at him and nodded, "Alright." You both walked out of the diner to enjoy the rest of your day, leaving Mason on the floor. You broke the silence between you and Suwa, "Should we really leave him there?" He smiled to himself, "Oh, don't worry about him. He's got his friends to help him out." Suwa looked at you excited, "So...Where do you wanna go first?" Your eyes lit up as you looked up at him smiling, then you started thinking, "Hmmmmm..."
