It was our first official date. Of course I was nervous. Yes, we basically go on "dates" at the ice cream shop after every dance practice, but this time was different. This time, she knows how I feel about her.
I was nervous for many reasons, What if I did something stupid ? What if she won't have fun ? What if something goes wrong ?

I waited at her doorstep, practicing in my mind what I would say to her. She then opened the door as I was lost in my own little world.
"Hi Hobi !!" she said happily.
The shorter girl peered through the door and
I was speechless. How was it possible for one person to be so cute ? The way her bangs subtly covered her dreamy dark brown eyes, her petite figure, her angelic face had me speechless.
"Hobi ??"
"Huh ? S-Sorry, you just look so beautiful, Haneul; I got distracted .." I blurted out. I looked away, embarrassed at what I had just said, but she smiled sweetly at me.
"Gomabseubnida .." She said, blushing. After seeing her reaction, I smiled.
"Let's go ?" I said, extending my hand. She nodded and placed her delicate hand in mine as we left her home.

It was around seven pm,
I drove us to one of my favourite places. It was my first time showing someone this secret place, I felt like she deserved to see it. A special girl should see this special place.
"Hobi ? Where are we going ?" She asked, looking out the window.
"You'll see soon."

I parked my car near the location of the secret place, grabbed my backpack from the trunk, opened the car door on her side, then took her hand and guided her to the place.
We reached my favourite spot after a few minutes of walking.
We looked out to the sight of the sky and the ocean. I took her to a hidden place within a a forestry area of a beach. The area had bars surrounding the edge of what was like a cliff so that if anyone did go there, you wouldn't fall over. It was the perfect place to watch the sunset which is exactly why I brought her there.
"Wow !! Hobi this place is so beautiful !" She said, amazed at the sight. "Just like you" I thought to myself.
"I like to come here whenever I need to be alone, it helps me think straight. It's my little hideaway, and I wanted to show you."
"It's amazing, thank you for bringing me here." She said, still smiling.
We sat down underneath the bars, letting our feet dangle over the ledge, watching the sun go down slowly. I used this time to get to know her better.
I already thought she was incredible, but after knowing more about her, I fell even harder for her.
I didn't know that was possible.
We talked for a couple of hours. Late enough that the moon was already up. I wanted to take her to one more place before bringing her back home.

We entered the familiar door and the bell above it rang as it opened.
"Oh ! Hobi-yah ! Haneul-ah !"
"Annyeonghaseyo, Ajumma !" We said, bowing to the elderly lady who ran the ice cream shop.
"What are you doing here at this time ? You usually come here around five pm after dancing ! Did you have practice this late ?"
"No, Ajumma we didn't have practice today .. We're uh .. On a date" I said shyly while smiling and looking away. I glanced over to Haneul and she was also smiling.
"Ahh I see, you two are dating ! How sweet ! Here, I'll get you something sweet for your sweet date" she joked.
She returned to us with our usual orders and insisted on it being on the house.
We bowed and thanked her for the ice cream.
As we sat down, I held her ice cream for her as she needed to search in her purse for something.
"Hobi ! Just wait, I want to take a photo of you !" She said excitedly, holding up her cell phone. I agreed, but only if we could take a photo together afterwards.
I held her cookies 'n cream ice cream near me and posed as she took the photo.

She smiled and said I looked cute. Behind my face mask, I was blushing so much.

After our dessert, I dropped her back to her house. I felt kind of upset because I never wanted this night to end.
"Goodnight, Hobi ! Thank you for tonight, I had so much fun !!" She said, wrapping her arms around my torso.
I was taken aback. Now I really never wanted this moment to end.
I hugged her back, savouring every second.
"You're welcome, Haneul. Let's go out again soon." I smiled while resting my head on hers.
"I can't wait."
