I left our secret hideout not tellin' puddin' where I was going' after all he wasn't gonna approve. To be honest he was too preoccupied with his work so he wouldn't notice my absence anyways so there was no matter. What did I have ta lose? Nothin', right...except my heart.
Chewin' on my bottom lip I walked to the cafe that we were supposed ta meet earnin' strange looks from everyone. I guess it was just my skin condition.
"Heh where is he?" I rolled my eyes as I sat down on a cold metal chair checkin' out myself in the refection of the glass of the cute cafe. It was 6:30 pm, exactly the time we were supposed ta meet. "Funny I'm always the one that's late.." I remarked and rested my tired face in my hands checkin' the time every five seconds, "Is he serious!" Snappin' I heard the chair in front of me move. My blue eyes shot up as I stared at his face. His tanned skin in display and his dark hair perfectly groomed.
"Sorry Harley ran into something hope I'm not too late." He mumbled as he took out a bouquet from behind him and handed it to me.
I blushed.
"Aw Mason ya didn't have to..." He was so dreamy and the bouquet was filled with lots of beautiful flowers but one in particular caught my eyes. A single red rose.
"So what didja wanna talk 'bout?" I asked sniffin' the bouquet.
"Us." His hands ran through his hair clearly statin' the fact that he was nervous.
"What bout Rachel won't she mind?" Gigglin' I realized he began to avoid my eye contact with him, "Mason?" Gulppin' I reached out to hold his hand lightly.
He had relaxed as he stared at me under his thick lashes. "I-I um wanted to see if you um still wanted to be with me..." His breathin' became more shallow.
Sighin' I withdrew my hand from his and sat back in the chair. "Ya know I can't do that." I looked down at my hands feelin' my nose gettin' all sniffly.
"Why! You always did with him?" My eyes shot to him.
"That's different!" I snapped and forcefully hit my hands on the table.
The people around me began to stand up and or shuffle away, it made me burst out laughin'. "What's so funny?"
"Oh ya see they are all scared of me, as soon as I was seen with him." I kept on blinkin' tryin' ta avoid the hot tears that were comin' to my eyes.
"Oh did batman-"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Y'see batsy payed us a small visit two days ago as we were gettin' ready to..." I stopped realizing that it wasn't a good idea ta tell Mason all about it. He was already sad enough, "Mason...I-I can't trust you no more that's why our relationship wouldn't work."
"But you don't trust him do you! After all he's done to you, you really think he can change?" He gritted his teeth and I sighed shufflin' nervously in the uncomfortable position I was sittin' in.
"I trust him with my life if I have to, I'm sorry..." Turnin' away from him tears began to roll down my cheeks, my right hand used my lose hair to hide my face with it. No way Mason was gonna see me like this. Starin' at the road I realized somethin' was not right. Everyone was beginin' to laugh...
"Harley look at me." He squashed my cheeks together makin' me look at him my eyes widenin'.
"No Mason no-" His face was inches away from mine as I furrowed my eyebrows and scrunched up my face, "He's...he's-"
