chapter 3 ~ be quiet

- two days earlier -

"Hey, KJ, wake up." It was in the middle of the night, our big group was all sleeping. "We need to go, it is too risky to be in a big group." says Ross. "Eh wait, what?" answers KJ, "what are you doing?" "We need to leave now, everyone is sleeping, this is our chance." says Ross. "Yeah I guess that is smart, but what if they notice us?" "Nothing, just keep walking away." says Ross. "But where are we heading?" asks KJ. "We are going to head south, to the beach," answers Ross. "'now be quiet." They both quietly leave the group together.

Jessamy looks down at Tom, she starts crying and hugging him. "Tom, Tom, are you still here?!" "Tom, please answer me! screams she in tears. "I guess it is over.." says Shawn. "Shut the fuck up Shawn, you don't know how this feels. We can still save him guys, we need to get to the hospital." says Jessamy. "But what about the other part of the group?" asks Miw. "We need to get them first." continues Lauren. "I'm not going to try to search them first, I'm going to the hospital now." says Jessamy. "We can't leave you, we also lost Becca." says Thom to her. "Becca is also alive, and so is Tom. I'm going to the hospital now. Bye guys." says Jessamy while she is already walking away, carrying Tom in her hands. "You're gonna be fine babe, don't worry."

(before the shots)

"Are we going to be safe?" says Maddie quietly. "Yes, we will be safe my love." answers Chandler.
The steps are coming closer, then they hear a sound of a reloading gun. The group looks at each other in fear. Shelby makes a sign that they need to be quiet. The steps come closer, as they see a shadow coming. A big shadow holding a sniper rifle.
"Is there anyone out her?" says the mysterious person. "I'm sure I heard something, come out now and I won't hurt you."
Alanna looks at El, she makes a sign that she will go out the bushes. El whispers her not to do it. "Hey, if you don't come out now, I will hurt someone." The man starts counting down.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three.."
"Four..."
"Fi-.."
Alanna goes out the bushes.
"Look who we got here" says the man. "You could've got out earlier." Alanna is too scared to say anything. "You don't need to be scared babe." says the man sarcastic. "Please don't hurt me." whispers Alanna. "Haha, I won't! Are there more people her?" asks the man. "Eh.... no there aren't." says Alanna. "I know you are lying, tell me, where are they?". Alanna doesn't answer. "Tell me where they are, or I'll hurt someone. Quick!" The man grabs Alanna and points his gun at her.

"I don't know where they are." says Alanna. "You damn well know where they are!"  The man shoots his gun in the air, followed by Alanna her scream. "Tell me!" says the man. Then Mia comes out the bushes, "take me, not her." says she in tears. "Look who we have her, big big girl." says the old man laughing. Mia makes eye contact with Alanna, she blinks at her. "Why are you blinking at her?" asks the man. "I wasn't blinking." answers Mia. "Why! were! you! blinking!" screams the man. "Say it or I'll shoot someone! I know there are more people in the bushes, liars!" Nobody answers. "Hurry!! I'm gonna count down." Then Mia jumps on the man, she tries to take him down. "Alanna, help me!" screams she. Alanna tries to help her, but the man already overpowered Mia before she could do anything. "Hahaha, the little girls trying to kill me. Good try." says he.

The man is holding the gun at Mia now. "Anyways, I don't like you trying to kill me. Someone is gonna pay for this." says the man. Mia tries to punch the man, but she isn't strong enough. "Hahaha, our little girl is also trying to punch me, how cute." says the man.
El, Maddie, Chandler, Crish and Shelby were still hiding in the bushes, holding their breaths. Then Chandler comes out and tries to attack the man, but before he could do anything. The man shoots. The group is shocked, they look at the victim and all start crying.
"I warned you guys." says the man.
