chapter 6 ~ alarms

Surrounded by guns, there was nothing we could do. "Drop your guns." says one of the people who call themselves 'The Hunters'.
"But, we don't have guns." answers Miw.
"Drop. Them." says a woman from The Hunters.
"Like I said, we don't hav.." says Miw again.
"Everyone, sit on the ground." Everyone looks at each other. "Now!"

The main group goes slowly to the ground.
"So, why are you guys out here without guns? If I can believe you?" By the way, I am Brooke."
"Well, we were heading to the hospital. To search for one of our friends, well two of them. We didn't find any guns yet." says Shawn.
"Guys, everyone pick one of them and point guat them. Now." commands Brooke to 'The Hunters'.
"If you want anyone, take me." says Julia.
"We aren't taking anyone, don't worry. We just don't want you guys to leave." says Brooke.
There is a silence.
"So, let's take them to our camp. If anyone walks away, or says a word. Shoot one of them, it doesn't matter who, just shoot." says Brooke.
Maddie looks scared at Chandler, Chandler makes a sign that she really needs to be quiet now.

After they have walked for around thirty minutes, they arrive at the camp of 'The Hunters'.
"If everyone takes a few of them, guide them trough our place. Brit, if you take the big girl, the other girl next to her, the two young boys and the weird woman on the right." This are Miw, Lauren, Shawn, Thom and Lauren.
"And if you, Steven, take the other eh, six people. Guide them, show them our beautiful place and our leader."
This are El, Maddie, Chandler, Mia, Crish and Shelby.

Group 1.

"So, you all can ask questions from now on. Just follow me and you all will be good." says Brit.
Brit walks to the big house in the middle of the camp, this must the place where the leader is. But instead of walking to the house, Brit turns left a few meters before. She walks till they are after the house.
"Where are we going?" asks Thom.
"Just follow me little guy." answers Brit.
They get to the back of the camp, which is surrounded by a fence.
"There is a little gap in here, we can get out now. This camp is the worst place ever. We should leave, now. I have been stuck in here for a week, and it already feels like years. The leader is very.. Yeah, but let's get out." says Brit.
"But, what about the others of us?" asks Lauren.
"They will be fine, we will get them out after we left." answers Brit.
"I don't trust it guys." says Thom.
"Just come with us, we will be fine honey." says Shawn.
The six get out the camp trough the small gap in the fence, first Miw, then Shawn, then Thom, then Lauren, then Julia and as last Brit.
"Now, let's get away from here as fast as possible so they won't notice us." says Brit

Group 2.

Steven guides the group to the houses first, where the residents live. "So, we are with around thirty people in here, five a house. If you guys want to look inside one, you can. But don't run away." says Steven
"I will look inside this one." says El while pointing at the third house to the left.
"I will join you." says Maddie
Chandler, Mia, Crish and Shelby do also join.

"You all are joining, so just follow me and I will guide you trough one of the houses." says Steven. He opens the door and two dogs run out barking. "Oh sorry for the dogs, they are called Cory and Leeann. Anyways, just keep following me." says Steven. The group laughs a bit and goes inside.
"So we have two bedrooms in here, one bathroom, a living room and a little place to chill. If you guys stay in the living room for a few minutes, I will get the two dogs back." says Steven and he leaves the house.

"So, what are we going to do now? Are we going to try to get out of here or stay and hope for the best?" says El.
"I think we should just stay here, because they will see us for sure. There are almost no hiding places." answers Chandler.
"I agree with Chandler, we should stay here. It is too risky to go out." says Maddie.
"Maybe we can go out in the dark, when they all are asleep." says Crish.
"That is a good idea yes, let's do that. So, who is going with us?" asks El.
El, Crish, Shelby and Mia are with El, but Maddie and Chandler are not.
"You two can't stay here alone, they will notice it." says Mia.

"Maddie, I think we should just go and see how it goes. We will be safe together, just stay close to me, okay baby?"
"Okay then, we will go with you El."

Steven did not come back to the group and it is already getting late, so the group decides to go to the bedroom and prepare for their run out of this place.
"So, I will get out first, look if there is someone, if there is no one, I will put my hand in the air, if it isn't safe enough, I will try to come back." says El.
"Okay, that sounds like a great plan." answers Maddie.

It is 3am now, it is time for the big escape plan.
"Stay in the bedroom, I will give you signs. You can see me from this window okay." says El.
"Stay safe please." says Crish.
"Yes.. I will. Don't worry. So if I give the sign that it is safe. Maddie and Chandler go out first, then Crish and Shelby, and Mia
follows. Okay?" says El.
El goes downstairs, "In case anything goes wrong, I love you all a lot."
She walks to the door, she grabs the heck and moves it. But the door does not open. She kicks against the door, but it still does not open.
"Guys, the door is locked." says El to the others who are waiting in the bedroom.
El tries to open the door again, it still won't open. Then loud alarms start ringing.
"What do we do now?" screams El.
"Go trough the window, quickly. The fall won't be painful. Quick!" answers Maddie.
Chandler opens the window and they all jump after each other. The alarms are still ringing. The group runs as quickly as they can.
