chapter 5 ~ a friend

Looking at the body of the person who just got shot. "Was this a friend of yours?" asks the man. "Eh, yes, of course she was." says El. "Haha, this must suck then."
The man left without saying anything else. "What do we do now, I mean, she is.. Alanna is dead, shot by this weird freaky man. And he, he laughed and.." says Crish in tears.
"We need to.. bury her.." answers Shelby.
Maddie was very shocked, so Chandler is hugging her. "Everything will be fine, don't worry babe." says he to Maddie.
"So, who is going to bury.. Alanna?" asks Mia.
"Eh.. I think that, that I should do it. I was her closest friend.." answers Crish.
"Are you sure, Crish?" asks El.
"Yes, I am." answers she.
Crish buries Alanna and the group decides to go back to the other half of the group. El, Maddie, Chandler, Mia, Crish and Shelby walk back to where the others headed.

"Hey Miw, we are back!" says El.
"Yaay, finally, we missed you guys." answers Miw
"Did everything go well, El?"
"Eh.. Alanna died.. and Crish buried her." answers El.
"Wait, what... I'm so sorry."
El looks at the ground and sees all the blood. "What happened?" asks she.
"Tom got shot.. and Jessamy is taking him to the hospital." answers Miw.
"He got.. shot? Does this mean there are more people with guns out here?"

a few hours later

"So, are we still going to search for Becca or..?" asks Thom.
"Yes, we should. She can't be far." answers Shawn.
"But who knows where she went, she may be headed the other way, you never know Shawn."
"We will find her, maybe not soon, but we will."
Shawn kisses Thom on his forehead and whispers "I love you". "I love you more monkey." They hug each other for a long time.
"Thank you for making me feel safe Shawn."
"No problem, I will do anything for you."

"So, are we also going to the hospital now to find Jessamy and Tom back?" asks Julia to the group.
"It is very far away, so I don't know if it is smart to go there." answers Lauren.
"Let's vote, put your hand up if you want to go to the hospital." says Shawn.
Julia, Thom, Shawn, Miw, Crish and Shelby put their hand up, while Lauren, El, Maddie, Chandler and Mia don't.
"So we are going?" asks El.
"Yep, we are." answers Shelby.
The group decides to leave very early tomorrow.

The sun just appeared but the group is already ready to go on their long walk to the hospital.
"Stay close to me Thom, okay, we aren't gonna split up." says Shawn. Thom shakes yes.

"Hey Crish, I'm so sorry about Alanna.." says Miw to her.
"It is.. okay I guess. We couldn't do anything about it. This is how the world is now. We can't change this, but what I know is that we need to fight back to whatever is going on."
"I agree, we should fight back. But I don't think our whole group wants to do this."
"If they don't want to, then they don't Miw. That's their own choice, but we need as much people as possible. But first we need to find out what is actually going on in this world at the moment."

After hours of walking, the group decides to take a little rest.
"Hey Maddie, we are going to be fine. We are almost there." says Chandler to her.
"Yes yes."
The group sits down and Lauren and Shelby take a nap.
"Eh, guys, did you also hear that noice?" asks Julia.
"No??" answers Chandler.
"I also heard something." says Shawn. "Me too." says El. The whole group except Chandler heard the sound. A few minutes later, the whole group heard a noice. Footsteps... again.
Suddenly they were surrounded by people, all carrying guns.
"Hello, we are The Hunters." says one of them.
