This poem is a bit different because I think it's time to raise awareness for this topic.
So many young girls have willingly given their innocence and have suffered the consequences of it, such as heartbreak, unwanted pregnancy, STD's, etc. Please tag your friends and remind them not to make a haste decision, and that patience will bring lasting love and happiness. And for those of you who have been victims of situations non-consensual, you are not worth less than anyone, nor are you to blame. This poem is specifically for those who CHOOSE to commit an act that isn't smart or beneficial for life, and this is made in hopes to prevent it. Please take no offense. This poem is NOT meant to criticize anyone who has gone through this, but to bring awareness to those who haven't.Silly girl, you are buried
Underneath the sheets of red.
You were kissed by darkness
And by morning you were seduced by dread. In the morning the fog has cleared
And you're cleaning up your face.
The tears are staining your pretty cheeks
And he has left without a trace. You knew what could happen
But you just didn't care
And now into the eyes of a baby
You now stare. It's one thing when you have no choice
But it's another when you do.
Silly girl, do not give into
A mans words that never come true. It's sad to say you now suffer
The consequences of one choice that was poor.
But that is what happens when you decide too soon.
You get what you lay for.
