There was a child in a womb
Who was brought into a war.
He grew into a life of doom
And left many with pouring scars.

But you called him to your path
And now he has earned a gracious heart.
His bond with you is one that shall last,
And he has continued to do his part.

A mother all on her own
Was driven by anger and fear.
But when you proved true love could be shown
She only shed joyful tears.

A young girl with a soul made from ashes
Searched for security among monsters.
She endured years of painful lashes
Until this world finally lost her.

But you have not forgotten those who have passed.
You have held onto the memory of them.
The days of humanity are going fast,
And soon eternity will be brought among men.

Oh my Father, why have you not forsaken us?
For we have proven to be dust and grime
Yet you have instilled unfailing trust.
You have waited until way past our prime.

Yes, you have seen the human
I was destined to be
That is why you softly sang
And stretched out your arm to me.

Even though I was bound to tremble and quake,
You lifted me up from the ground.
Your words of comfort keep me wide awake
And in you inner peace I have found.

You have seen your people from the beginning
And have held onto us for so long.
What have we done to deserve such meaning
And a bond that has become so strong?

My Father, you have my heart forever,
And my love eternally.
Your undying love and care is sure,
For from the beginning you even saw the embryo of me.
