My Dark Oblivion

            Surely I was dreaming.

Or dead. Yes, I have died and gone into oblivion, a peaceful, warm, buff oblivion.

My oblivion tightened itself around me; securing me closer towards it, sending shock waves of pleasure through my body.

I could hear it's heart beat, thumping to the same hurried rhythm of mine. I could feel it's steady rise and fall as it took in another breath. I could even hear it arguing with someone.

"Will someone please call 911!" It's thunderous, masculine voice rasped.

"Already on it, the paramedics should be here any minute." Another male voice replied.

"They need to hurry up, she's not opening her eyes!"

"Dude, chill. She's done this before and-."

             "What?!" My oblivion demanded.

"Uh...yeah, didn't we tell you? Noah had to punch her in the face when we first met her because she held her breath. I think she does it when she's nervous, who knows?"

            "Noah...punched her in the face?"

             "Well-uh, yeah, but only because-."

            "Where is he?" It barked.

"I don't know, him and Pagan went through some mirror thing."

"Go find him. And when you do, tell him he's a dead man."

"Ryder, man, calm down. I know it sounds bad but he meant well! She wasn't breathing and he had to-."

"He did not have to punch her in the face, and if you say he did then you're going to be six feet under with him."

             "Ryder-."

"Go, Zach! And while you're finding the asshat who likes to hit women, find the other two dimwits."

The other voice sighed, "Okay, okay, don't get your panties in a wad."

I heard the distant sound of feet pounding the ground, before it got fainter and fainter.

My oblivion let out a breath.

I felt a hand gently move a strand of my hair behind my ear, it's finger lingering on my skin before slowly starting to caress my cheek.

"I'm sorry, Callie. I'm sorry I haven't kicked Noah's ass yet for punching you, I'm sorry for being a butt towards you, and I'm sorry for everything I have ever done- and probably will do, to you." It muttered, and my body would have shuddered if it hadn't have been comatose just moments ago.

My oblivion kept caressing my cheek, making my stomach flutter.

"So beautiful." He whispered, and this time, I shuddered.

His hand stilled at the same moment distant sirens could be heard, "Callie...are you awake?"

When the sirens grew louder, I willed my eyes to blink open. And they met my beautiful oblivion's, my savior, my light.

Ryder's brilliant smile gazed down at me, "Hey, sleeping beauty. Welcome back to the land of reality."

He chuckled but I did nothing. It pained me, physically pained me to take my eyes off of his, but I did only to see where I was.
