It's been a week since I turned eighteen. I'm just casually sitting on my bed, listening to music and checking social media, until I decide to get something to eat and drink. I quietly walk downstairs, expecting my parents to be asleep. I was nearly there until I heard my mother say: "How are we supposed to tell her that? Are you just going to say 'Neria, sorry to tell you now, but you're not our daughter.'?I can't do that to her." What does she mean I'm not their daughter? I wanted to storm up to them and ask them what they mean, but I stopped myself. "Of course we're not, but she needs to know who she really is, and who her mother is." I couldn't hold it anymore so I stormed in and said "What do you mean I'm not your daughter?"

"Go on then, I have time." I replied, my 'father' began, since my 'mother' couldn't or by the looks of it, she' burst into tears.

Worried for you, she asked us, her servants to take you to the surface, as there'd be no problem with the couple thing, since we were already married. Before we left, she gave you your seashell necklace, it contains your mothers favourite moments and a special message that you're supposed to open after you're eighteen."

"We hated lying to you for so long, but we weren't allowed to tell you until your powers reach their full strength, which wasn't going to happen until you're eighteen." mother continued

"What powers?" I questioned.

"Powers to control the water, and its energy, and your personal magic, like an ability special to you,like vocal magic. As in, you can pick up or destroy things with your vocals."
