chapter 12:a grace too sweet is gone

I walked over to Peggy and we hugged each other giggling. "Peggy it's been a while. How've you be-,"I got interuppted by her smiling Cheek to cheek. That means she's gonna do something weird. "Enough about me my dear dear 'sister', how are you and john,"she winked at me. I blushed pink and looked down smiling,"w-we are fine Peggy." She giggled and led me into the coffee shop,"I love your reactions." We then got startled by someone pulling out a gun,"EVERYBODY PUT YOUR HANDS UP AND ON YOUR KNEES NOW!!" Me and Peggy did as he said scared and confused. The robber asked the cashier to put all the money in the bag. Peggy narrowed her eyes,"figured thats what he wanted." I looked at Peggy,"yea what are we gonna do?" The robber ran out of the shop and Peggy ran after him,"wing it!!" "Peggy,"I yelled running after her. She jumped on the guy's back fighting,"give back the money theif!!" The theif fought her and pulled his gun out,"get off of me little girl!!" I then heard a gun shot and someone fall......And it wasn't the robber. Peggy laid there in pain and crying,"Alyssa!!" I ran to her side panicking and called a hospital,"please!! We need an ambulance!!"

I sat in the waiting room almost tramatized by the scene I watched. Eliza and angelica were by my side until the boys got here. Eliza quietly spoke to me,"Alyssa......Can you please tell us what happened out there?" I had words but I could not get them out. Angelica patted Eliza's shoulder teary eyed," don't worry eliza. All we need to know.....Is that if our silly young sister......Will be......Be." I looked at angelica on the verge of tears. Me and Eliza hugged her comfortly until the nurse came out,"excuse me." Angelica hopped up crying,"is she okay!!?" The nurse nodded,"yes but.....She's very lucky to survive that bullet close to her heart. She'll be able to leave in a couple of months." I ran into her room and hugged Peggy,"I'm so sorry!! This is all my fault!! I'm so so sorry!" I absolutely couldn't bear to look at her. All I could sense.....Was her warm smile looking at me. She wrapped her arms around my head,since she couldn't sit up right,"Alyssa it's not your fault. I jumped at him when I shouldn't have." I shook my head crying,"it's all my fault. I should've stopped you. I shouldn't have picked that place. I don't feel like I should be here when you're here injured!" Peggy blinked looking at me,"Alyssa....." I backed away from her and ran out of the hospital. Angelica tried to grab my arm but she didn't reach me on time. I just wanted to stay in my house forever. It was really all my fault that my best sister got hurt.
