chapter 7:second wimp in command

i blinked and looked towards the guy running to us. He had on the same uniform as the guys did and he has a haircut with the rest of his hair parted to the left. "I hope you gentlemen are ashamed of yourselves. randomly picking up an girl by the waist. for shame,"he scolded them. John smirked,"says the one who cant get one." Hercules and Lafayette both snickered and lee's face turned pink from anger. he walked towards me and grabbed my hand lightly, kissing it,"im so sorry for these crazy buffoons called my soldiers." i could feel johns presence getting heated up and angry. lee looked at me in the eyes," allow me to introduce myself. I'm Charles lee,second in command general." I curtseyed,"im Alyssa. nice to meet you general." john mumbled,"more like second in command wimp." Lafayette examined john's face and grabbed his shoulder," hey you okay." Hercules realized john's actions as well,"yea your acting super hateful." John crossed his arms and smiled angrily,"i am PERFECTLY fine!!" Lafayette flinched,"monsieur laurens,your obviously  not okay." John rolled his eyes and glanced at me and lee talking. "you know your not that bad yourself Alyssa. so do you mind if we go dancing with me later on,"lee smiled at me. i blinked and smiled softly,"why not."

Johns pov

i cant believe it!! Charles asking Alyssa to dance later! and she said yes!! YES!! "monsieur laurens, you need to calmed down." crap did i say that out loud?? Hercules now knew the situation and he smirked,"you know john i will help you out with this. i know where they're going." i blinked and quickly grabbed his shirt," WHERE!!!" Hercules chuckled and moved my hands away from him."they're going to that masquerade party that going to happen and that castle. we just gotta sneak in there." i blinked and smiled mischievously," not a problem. we just gotta buy some suits and masks then we're good." lafayette smiled," aah young love." i stopped and blushed red,then walked away,"lets just go get the stuff." these guys are so stupid but i can never replace them.

Charles pov 

tonights the night! alyssa is seriously an angel. a ray of sunlight. SERIOUSLY A BRIGHT RAINBOW!! i fix my tie and walk to her place to walk her down there. i took a long sigh and smiled. no backing out now. i slowly reached my hand to the door and knocked on it. i waited .....and waited.....and waited. until it opened showing a girl with a long light purple dress,her hair puffy but the bangs pulled back and the brightest smile on her face. in my head, all i could seriously think is wow. she looks amazing. "......just wow.......you look amazing tonight,"i said taking her hand smiling softly. she smiled and looked at me,"gee thanks. you dont look bad yourself for being a general and all." i chuckled and walked to the party with Alyssa's and in mine. however.........i have a sudden urge someone or some people are following us.

we walked into the party and i never seen Alyssa so excited. im guessing this is her first party shes ever been to. i bowed holding my hand out,"may i have this first dance Alyssa." she giggled and curtsyed,"why yes you can."

john pov

i walked around the party looking around,"keep a sharp eye for lee and Alyssa." "oui,"Lafayette responded. Hercules then suggested we should go up on the second floor but only me and herc went. ladies we're all over Lafayette and asking him to dance with them. we looked and the bottom and Hercules gasped lightly,"wow." i looked at him blinking," what is it herc??" Hercules smiled and pointed,"i just gonna say,you have a good taste in women." i looked down and saw her dancing gracefully with lee. wow......she looked amazing tonight. "hey guys," Hamilton walked to us with Eliza smiling. i ran downstairs and herc smiling and told hamilton and Eliza,"young love." i slipped and squeezed through everyone to reach Alyssa. i grabbed her arm and pulled her back running outside. "huh? hey,"lee yelled and struggled to follow us. Alyssa blinked,"u-uhm e-excuse me sir?" i ran us out into the courtyard. i panted and sat down on the edge of the fountain,"okay we're good." Alyssa looked at me light she didnt know me,"u-uhm." i blinked and did a cheeky grin and took off the mask,"sorry for the sudden yank my princess." 

my pov

i smiled and hugged him,"laurens!! i didn't know you were coming here!!" he chuckled and turned my face to look at him eye to eye. i blinked and blushed deep red as he stared an me smiling softly,"you look absolutely amazing tonight." i looked at him and i was gonna say something until he kissed me. it was warm and gentle. he released the kiss and smiled at me,"alyssa, i love you with all of my heart. do you accept me?"
