"Hurry up!" John impatiently yelled behind her.
"I-I can't!" Dawn quivered. John then proceeded to push Dawn down the slide. "Ah!" She squeaked, unprepared for the shove.
Though Dawn had made it down the slide unscathed. When she stopped herself at the bottom she looked back up at John, who had his arms crossed, still at the top of the slide.
"You were taking too long!" He yelled, still a bit annoyed, but also feeling a bit guilty for pushing her down the slide when she wasn't ready.
Dawn smiled. She liked this boy. He was kinda funny, she thought. "I'm Dawn!"
John finally came down the slide and met her at the bottom. "John," he then took her hand and shook it firmly. It was almost rough.
Though Dawn payed no he to John's roughness, and returned the same firm shake.
That day Dawn rushed home to her mother.
"I just met the boy I'm going to marry," said Dawn, being downright serious.
Her mother smiled, "Oh? What's his name? Is he handsome?"
"His name is John. And ewww... But he's funny," the eight year old replied, smiling.
