Rain poured effortlessly down the window. Not like that's an unusual occurrence for the nighttime; It always rains here. Painswick can be quite dull at night. But i suppose that doesn't matter? Seeing as most of the town is asleep at... 3:00am. Not me though. I sighed, looking once again out of the small window that adorned my cupboard sized bedroom. Music poured from my speakers, leaving me a... background noise. Well, not really a background noise, considering that even on the lowest volume i would still be able to hear it from downstairs. Damned hearing.

I felt a tingling sensation in my lower spine; felt it travel up my back and through my arms and legs. A low growl escaped my lips with minimal control; I hated when people tried to sneak up on me. It will never work. I hopped from the end of my bed in a graceful fashion, letting the covers flutter viciously as i slyly slithered across the floor to my bedroom door. The tingling was getting stronger now, so i knew he was out there. My brother. My loving, yet completely oblivious brother. I flung the door open, barely keeping it on its hinges, to find him mid crouch facing my room entrance.

"What in the hell are you doing Dorian?!" I gritted out through my teeth. He had an unbecoming scowl on his face. He's normally quite attractive as brothers go, what with the fact he's like 6ft2", has light brown hair which spikes in a natural formation, and lets not forget those peachy lips and small nose. Oh and there's the all telling deep green eyes, and straight pearly white teeth; which we infact share with few others over the country. The pale skin comes naturally. We're paler than snow, and that's saying something!

"Well sister dearest, I wanted to remind you that you have school tomorrow. So turn down the damned music!" He griped back at me.

"It's on the lowest, come on! Not my fault you can hear it, is it now?"

"Oh fuck off."

WIN.

I slammed the door in his face, heaving a sigh of relief and the tingling sensation subdued into nothing. He's gone. About fricking time. I shut off my music(Not because he told me to, because i CAN) and sat with a humph on my bed. There's nothing to do in this town at nighttime, not right now anyway. Seeing as I've already had my... meal... for the evening i sigh and close my eyes. Not that i would be able to sleep, but time passed quicker if i tried.

I was right. I opened my eyes after what seemed like a moment, only to find the bleak sun shining into my room, creating boxy shadows on the small patch of floor. I sped through the house gathering school books for this Monday school day. Fun. Showering took minimal time, as did styling and choosing my clothes; Grey skinny jeans, green checkered shirt, grey converse and my trademark black hoody. I swept my jagged thick fringe over my eyes, and replaced my eyebrow bar, from a shocking pink one to an electric blue one. Lets go shocking shall we? I thrust my grey backpack onto my shoulders and called a goodbye to my sibling and his wife.

"IM GOING! Don't wait up!"

"Wasn't planning on it!"

Well that's charming. I mean i know i said not to, but it would be nice all the same. Hmmph. Oh well. I walked out of the front door, suddenly being engulfed in sunlight. I could feel my eyes darkening; It felt like i'd rubbed them really hard, and the stinging was still there. In a second i had my RayBan sunglasses from my bag and onto my face, which ultimately reduced the stinging, so i knew my eyes were good to go.

I set off down the street, the approximate ten minute walk only taking me about 5 minutes. Damn i loved having speed. I pushed through the schools gates, ignoring the ever constant whispers and giggles about me, which i could hear every word of every one. What i wouldn't give to just.... No, stop it. I held my head high and walked into the school ignoring the absentminded teens behind me.
