Chap3
Extremely loud shrilling noises filled my eardrums; i cringed minutely. Not only because of the shrilling; No because i have maths first period. Every day of the week. I mean come on, who does that?! Evil, that's who.
I stood, pulling my hood closer over my head. No one needs to see me. It's safer that way. For everyone. I threw my backpack across my shoulders with as much gentleness as possible; Don't wanna stand out any more now do i?
I stepped away from the dark corner and into the corridor, hoping to slip away unnoticed;which isn't usually problem. But no. Of course that's not possible today. A warm hand was on my clothed arm, stopping me from going to my destination. I spun and glared icily at the hand which was encroaching the always assumed personal space limit. Whoever was attached to the hand quickly retracted their hand.
"Smart move," I growled, not bothering to hide the malice in my tone.
"Sorry, I.. Just.. Uh... Wondered what class you had now...?"
Noah. Of course. I raised my eyebrow at him sarcastically.
"And why would it matter what i have?"
"In case we have the same? You seem cooler than the Barbies and Kens in this place,"
I snorted, rather unattractively. Cool? Maybe. Barbies and Kens? Spot on, my friend. Spot on.
"You ain't half bad. Math, with Miss Watton, how about you, Newbie?"
"Oh look at that. Same," He replied, smiling a brilliant smile. Literally, brilliant. Not a pansy halfhearted smile, a full on cheesy. I found myself smirking at him, mirth clearly visible in my eyes. It was kinda hard not to; he's hot.
"Follow me then, young one," I smirked playfully. He did so without a word. Respect level has just been upped. We got to the classroom in no time at all, despite the fact i had to slow down, a lot. We walked in, me a step ahead of him. Seriously, does he want to be on my good side THAT badly? Obviously.
"Morana, introductions are in order i believe!" I turned my face to see Miss Watton. She's one of the nicest teachers in this place; Little crazy, but nice. She's about 25, blonde hair that fell into her deep brown eyes. Add a tiny button nose and pouty red lips and you have our maths teacher. Not what you expect right? I don't say this a lot, but to be honest; she's hot.
"Of course. Vicky this is--"
"Ahem, Miss Watton in class please, Morana," She ever so rudely interrupted. I simply pouted at her, giving her my best doe eyed look. It worked; she winked at me, leaving it at that. Bitch a sucker for my charms.
"Anyway, Miss, Noah, Noah, Miss Watton. Or Vicky, outside the class only, of course," I introduced. With that I spun on my heel, strode down the classroom to my empty double desk in the very back corner of the room. No point being in the light anymore than necessary. I had my notepad and pens on the desk in a flash, then settled to listen to the gossip of secondary school. APPARENTLY, Shannon and Drew have totally been doing it, even though Shannon likes Tom. Oh and Julia must like, so have gone missing, because, like, no ones seen her in, like, two days. Lord save me! Ha, good one Morana. I tuned out the unrealistic, childish gossip and doodled on my notepad.
I was halfway through a really intense drawing; A heart being pierced with a stake, when the seat next to me scraped along the floor. Once again my defenses went up as i snapped my head around to the intruder. Noah. Damn, this guy is persistent. He must of noticed my staring, again, because he offered me an explanation.
"I don't like the light, too... obnoxious," he said with a shrug. Nodding shortly, I went back to my page. He didn't need to know how i thought the light was obnoxious did he? No. I carried on with my doodling, moving on to draw random things, such as a protest sign against light and a vile of A Positive blood; some people don't see the difference, oh but i do.
"Blood?" Noah whispered quizzically, as if it were the weirdest thing ever. Well, to him it probably was.
"Yeah, problem?" I whispered back.
"None at all. A Positive, right?" I snapped my head towards him, eyebrow raised, and to be honest, utterly shocked. This will sound weird, but with this damned hot creature, the fact he knew about blood was an instant turn on. "That's my blood type," he continued when i didn't say anything. I felt my gums tingling; not a good thing to be happening right now. I clamped my mouth shut, so no one saw my teeth. Id be found out in seconds.
I turned from Noah, attempting to ignore the immense lust i felt for him right now. I attempted to ignore him for the rest of the lesson. I attempted to fight the urge to bury my fangs into his jugular.
After all, I'm a vampire; It's my instincts.
