(Y/N) P.O.V
I arrived at the Wayne Enterprise lobby at exactly 8:00 am, excited to start my new job but also nervous. Last night, my best friend and roommate, Sam, started to tell me what all the gossip columns say about Mr. Wayne, how he is a womanizing playboy, has a secret about hiding a son no one knows about, and only cares about himself. I just laughed and told her that she should stop reading all that gossip. That's the point of the tabloids, they find drama and get people talking. Though I did find it nice to see that she was worrying about me.
I looked around the lobby and saw Lucius standing in the center looking at his watch.
"Lucius!" I said walking over to him.
He looked up and smiled at me. "You're right-on time, Miss (Y/N). Shall we get started."
I nod and followed as he led me to an elevator and pressed the top floor button.
When the elevator doors opened, I followed him to a double door office with a large desk beside it. As I entered the office behind Lucius I stared at the largest office I have ever seen. There were expensive paintings that decorated the walls and antique vases on marble pedestals. There was also a desk with two large computer monitors. Behind the desk, a large window stood looking out to the city just like the office I was in yesterday. Then I noticed a man leaning against the window looking out. It was Mr. Wayne. He had shiny black hair that was combed back and neatly managed. I couldn't see his face but from the angle I saw, he had a clean shave. He was wearing a black business suit with a red tie and was busy talking on the phone with someone.
'He looks handsome. Wait! What are you thinking he is your new boss! Stay focused!' I adjusted my glasses and put on my professional face.
"A-Ahem." Lucius cleared his throat. Mr. Wayne looked at us, said goodbye and hung up the phone.
"Lucius it's nice to see you. Who is this?" He asked. I could see the confusion in his face, which made me curious. Did he know that about me? Did he know about the secretary position opening?
"Mr. Wayne this is (Y/N) (L/N). She will be your new secretary." Bruce didn't look to thrilled.
"It's very nice to meet you Mr. Wayne." I smiled, lifting my hand so he could shake it.
"I don't need a secretary. I can't believe you and the board went behind my back and hired one for me!" He shouted as stood in front of his desk completing ignoring my extended hand.
"Please, Bruce be reasonable. We are just trying to help make your job easier. You have been working too hard." Lucius said with worry in his eyes.
"I'm fine. I don't need help. If anything, she would just get in the way!" Bruce sat in his chair crossing his arms. I feel my blood start to boil. How dare he? Not to mention he's acting like a complete child.
"Excuse me Mr. Wayne, but at least give me a chance. I can assure you that I will make your job a lot easier. Just give me a week. If I don't impress you by then, you can let me go." I said with a smile on my face to hide the anger that was growing inside me. Bruce looked at me with surprise. Lucius just smiled.
"Alright then, file these papers and organize them by their categories. Then, I want you to prepare the material for the meeting I have tomorrow. After that, you can take care of the pile of invitations and notices I have here." Mr. Wayne placed a pile of papers and letters on top of his desk and gave me an evil smirk. There were too many papers for one person to go through and he knew it.
"Bruce..." Lucius was about to protest but, I lifted my hand to cut him off politely and gave him a confident smile. Mr. Wayne raised an eyebrow at me.
"I understand, sir. You can count on me."
