Marceline sat in history class hiding her phone behind a textbook. This class, oh how she despised it. So why not pass the time texting her friends?
~
Fi: Math is boring 😩
Marcy: no shit
PB: Are you sure Marceline? Isn't marshall there, too?
Marcy: 😒
Marcy Abadeer left the chat

She closed her phone. Fionna and Bonnie both knew she had a (possible, possible) crush on Marshall lee, but she didn't admit it to anyone else. It's not like she would, anyway. Marshall was one of her best friends.
"Can you answer my question, Marceline? It seems you're studying so hard!" Ms. Ice yelled.
"Uh, 72?" She answered unsurely.
"This is history! Detention!" The furious teacher screeched. Damn, get a red bull. No wonder not even old men wanna tap that.
Ms. Ice was one of the many teachers who gained pleasure from getting her students in trouble. She was cackling so loud the room down the hall could hear her! The, as Marceline called her, 'Attention whore' had the tendency to flirt with the boys in the class, which Fionna absolutely hated.
Talk about desperate. Besides, if you can't get men your own age how do you expect to get guys 6 decades below you?
Marceline was used to getting detention, so this wasn't a big deal to her. Sadly, she'd miss practice with her band, the Scream Queens, again.
--RING!--
"Class dismissed!" Ms. Ice yelled.
Marceline headed to the music room to find Bongo, Guy, and Keila, her insanely chill band mates.
"Sorry guys, I can't come to practice. Bitchy Ms. Ice strikes again," she exclaimed, waving her arms for dramatic effect.
"Ice queen got ya again didn't she, Marce?" Keila laughed.
The raven haired girl rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"I guess."

Marceline pushed the cafeteria doors open, grabbed an apple, and sat next to Bonnibel Bubblegum and Fionna Mertice."Hi Marcy!" Fionna waved and cheerfully.
"Hey guys," she smiled back.
"Marceline! Did you know Mr. Whywolf put me and Bubba as science partners?!" Bonnie shrieked.
Has she gone mad?
Most people called Bonnie Princess Bubblegum or PB for short. It's because her parents are rich doctors or business owners or something like that. And as long as anyone could remember she was kinda bossy and was always valedictorian, even in grade school.
"That's great, Bon."
"What's wrong Marcy?"
Fionna asked, glancing around nervously. PB perked her head up."Nothing really. Except I guess Marshall likes someone else, Fi." Marceline confessed, scratching her head and taking a bite out of her apple.
THUMP.
"Ouch!"
"Why did you tell her?!" Fionna whisper-screamed to Bonnie.
"I'm not sure, I thought she deserved to know!" Bonnibel murmured back.
Fionna sighed and slapped her face.
"Guys, guys, it's not that big of a deal! We all know how much, the notorious, Marshall lee-! Is a player."
"Well, we can cheer you up. Tonight we should get ice cream," Fionna grudgingly suggested.
PB shot her a quick, 'Well, it wasn't my fault!' glance.
"Sure, Fi," Marceline agreed. "-But it's really not that big of a deal."
"At 9:00!" Bonnibel pipped in, ignoring Marcy's comment.
"Yes, 9:00 pm. Why not?"
