"We accept the love we think we deserve."
Tanya sat in the gardens thinking about what she could do to stitch up the wounds caused by Cedric for Delilah. She cursed herself for not doing something when the problem first arose. She couldn't for the sake of Cedric. He was already in a difficult situation with his parents passing on, and the pressures of becoming a king were on his back like two- ton boulders.
The basketball star thought back to a past conversation, one she shouldv'e done something at, but she then realized that she couldn't really do much besides be there for Cedric when it would fall back onto him.
"...who would love me unconditionally." He said with tears in his eyes. Ever since his parents' deaths, and Rebecca walked into his life, he has been going through a living hell.
"Well," Tanya stated, trying to make a joke, "You can't have my Joey. May I suggest Nick?"
He cracked a smile and laughed an unforced laugh. It was nice to see him smile once, she thought happily. He never did that anymore because of 'Regina George' down the hall.
"Being serious, as much as I hate to be, I know you will find someone. Good things come to those who wait, Cedric." Tanya said kindly, hoping to make him smile again. He looked her in the eyes, " You really think so?" She nodded, trying to keep him hopeful. " Do you promise she'll come? That I'll have an oppritunity at honest love?"
Will he?, she thought to herself. He wanted this perfect girl, but Tanya couldn't possibly understand how he could get her. Was she from somewhere else? Maybe outside the states, like down south? It will be hard, though. It'll be hard to find a girl that had all the amazing qualities that Cedric has. Tanya couldn't bear to see him like this anymore, and she wanted her old best-friend back. The man who told Joey to ask her out already, and the man who helped Tanya escape the Texan Society five years before.
"I promise."
But how could he be so stupid? Here she was! She thought to herself.
"Why Hello, Tanya." She heard someone sneer from behind her. She scoffed and turned to face the obnoxious voice when suddenly everything went black.

"So we decided that the theme should be Pink Cherry Blossom, and Tanya can't be my maid of honor because she is way too tall, and I..." Cedric didn't even bother to keep listening to his chatty soon-to-be-wife. Cedric couldn't stand her, but he was to marry her for a much needed alliance between The State of Trinity and his own homeland. Cedric hated her attitude so much, to the point where he really want to poke a stick in his eyes.
"Hey! Are you even listening?" She yelled.
"Sorry, babe. I dozed off." Cedric responded lazily. He looked at the plans she had in front of him and almost puked at the designs. Everything was so pink! Tanya isn't going to wear that! He almost laughed at the dresses she had planned for every guest.
"Ever since that bitch came around, you've been in a fog." Rebecca muttered, thinking he still wasn't paying attention, but Cedric did happen to hear that.
"Who?" Cedric asked confused.
"Delilah!" She yelled out, and after a second pause due to her surprise that Cedric was listening. "Dont talk about her like that." The future king sneered at her.
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes," I know something is going on there, and I'm going to put an end to it." She said determined. "Yeah" He mumbled, "You go do that."
She continued to talk about her plans for their horrifying future together, and he felt himself grow sick at the idea of starting a family and growing old with witch next to hi. This whole ordeal was a mistake, and Cedric knew he should've said that he didn;t want to marry her, but the people were growing angry.
They wanted their leader to rise to the challenge of governing, but Cedric had to be married first. He wished he had waited out, but it was much too late to recant now. He promised his people a wedding within the next 2 years, and he wasn't going to fail them.
Getting married wasn't about him, it was about restoring hope for the people after many bloody battles. Cedric knew if he got married, he would bring the states back to their glorious times of his father's before him.
He tuned himself back into Rebecca, and he heard her say something about the honeymoon. She smiled to herself, excited about all her planning going well.
Rebecca wasn't sensless, so she knew that Cedric wasn't entirely into her. She constantly tried to find ways to make him actually grow feeling for her, but it was all in vain when the Blue showed up. Rebecca knew she was being bumped aside, but she couldn't help but try and feel like everything was superb.
Deep down inside her desperate, love- needing heart, Rebecca knew that nothing she could do would change the fact that she was old news; she was absent in the heart of Cedric.
