"Beauty is what you feel about youself, not what you see in the mirror."

Everyone went silent.

I looked around nervously, hoping to find some familiar face to send a look to come and help me out right now. My feet were rooted into the marble ground, and my face was frozen a deep shape of red.

At this moment, I was extremely and utterly embarrassed. 'What was I thinking? Maybe if I run fast enough at the window, It'll shatter and kill me, so I dont have to deal with this embarrassment'

"Okay, seriously! Stop staring at the poor girl and go back to being rich!"

Thank you so much, Tanya. Delilah thought appreciatively.

"You just keep drawing attention yourself, don't you?" Delilah nodded sheepishly. Tanya grinned, then pulled Delilah's arm to guide her over to a table. Sitting there were all of the boys from earlier, Sarah in a dark purple dress, Cedric, and another young girl with brown, straight hair. Delilah smiled as Tanya announced their arrival, and all the boys smiled back. "Hey, Delilah." Joey said nervously.

"We didn't think you'd come." Harold added, just as anxious as Joey. Delilah kept her smile on, knowing that she was to always be polite when talking with people she didn't know all too well.

"Tanya dragged me, literally." The boys laughed, and so did Sarah. This new girl, however, make a fake smile to look like she found it amusing, but obviously did not.

Delilah knew this because one of many things she was good at was reading emotion. She was faking being happy, but why?

"Have a seat, you two." Nick said excitedly.

Tanya went to sit down next to Joey, but Joey stood up and pulled out her chair for her. He helped her get settled in, but when he tried to help Delilah, she waved him off politely. He sat next to Tanya, and she looked at him with sparkling eyes.

Delilah lost herself in thought as to why Cedric had even saved her, but she was so stuck in her own thoughts that when she looked up, she saw everyone already in conversation. Joey was still flirting with Tanya, and even Tanya teased him once or twice. What is with those two?

Harold and Nick were balancing spoons on their noses, and Liam was trying to stop their foolish behavior without laughing- which was rather difficult. Cedric was talking to the girl in the grey dress, and she was smiling widely. Delilah couldn't see it reach all of her facial features, but she was sure it was some sort of smile.

"Tanya" Delilah whispered. She looked to the Blue, and Delilah continued, "Who's the girl?" She pursed her lips and then spoke up, "Rebecca Mains. Not to be mean, but she's a bit over- confident and rude. Never mind, I don't care if I'm being mean. I hate her. She is so cruel and into herself, its not even funny."

Delilah nodded understandingly at what the tanned girl was explaining to her. She took another look at Rebecca again, and an acidic feeling filled her stomach. She'd never recalled this emotion before. This stirring was eating her away painfully, and she grew angrier at the realization of what the mysterious feeling is.

"Just keep away from her. She's only going to be trouble for you. Don't let her words affect you either, okay?"

Delilah stayed for about 2 more hours talking to Harold and Liam about what it was like in the palace, and Nick explained all the rules here. After yawning, she realized socializing took a lot out of a person, so she got up and excused herself. She headed to my room and threw on a baggy, dark grey shirt and black shorts. She wore fuzzy blue socks, and her hair was thrown into a lazy bun.

Just as she was getting into bed, she heard a knock at the door.

Delilah opened it and saw Tanya standing there holding popcorn bowls and a movie. "Movie night?" She agreed, feeling like movies and popcorn were the best things in the world at th moment.

Tanya put into the dvd player '21 Jump Street' and watched it with Delilah on her bed.

When the movie was finally over, Tanya was asleep, but Delilah suddenly wasn't tired anymore, so she decided on going for a late, evening walk. The clock read 1:22am, and she still didn't care. She got up and threw on her black uggs, then quietly closed the door.

She headed down the hall and into the Kitchen to see if Rose was still there. When she found Rose wasn't there, she headed down to a small room filled with pictures and portraits of every kind. The blonde haired girl turned to her right and was happy to see her painting of the ocean hanging right beside the picture of Cedric. She was proud of these paintings, so she was happy someone took it upon themselves to hang it up. Feeling tired again, she walked back to her room to sleep.

When she woke up, Tanya was gone, and fresh, morning light shone through the curtains. The clock read 10:50, and she knew that she had slept in much too late for her liking. She brushed her teeth and threw on a pair of blue jeans and a evergreen, long sleeve shirt with dark brown uggs. She wore a brown knitted scarf to match the boots and hurried out. She had only been here for 3 days now, but she loved it in the castle. Cedric hadn't talked to her, and for some weird reason she cared about that.

She went to look for Sarah, and instead saw Tanya and Joey kissing underneath a plant hanging from a doorway. She stuck out her tongue at Tanya and headed into the Kitchen where Sarah and Liam were flirting. Ew, this is just so gross.

By the time it was dinner, everyone decided on something called pizza. Cedric and Rebecca hadn't been seen all day, but she was enjoying myself, so she wasn't entirely worried.

Delilah saw them enter, and she internally groaned. "Oh, Delilah! You and Rebecca haven't met yet." Nick said, and she knew where this was headed, so she did not want to talk to her at all. Delilah saw Joey turn to Tanya with a look of horror, and Tanya rose her eyebrows in confusion. When she caught on, Tanya's eyes widened for a brief second. Harold, with dreadful body language, went to the doorway.

"Well I was surprised that she didn't try and talk to me, since she is a guest of coarse." Rebecca said grouchily. Ouch. What's her issue?

"I'm Delilah, you must be Rebecca." Delilah said kindly, holding out a hand for her to shake. She kept her arms crossed for an extra second before putting out her hand.

"Oh, right! Cedric tells me about you all the time!" Delilah smiled brighter, and Rebecca suddenly grew an evil smile,"I'm Rebecca Mains, Cedric's fiancé."
