"Um well...Josh."

"Why...?" Joshua Matthews was my old crush and my someday. That someday never happened. I was over it. But after what happened with Riley I didn't entirely want to see a Matthews.

"He needed a place to stay while he was in town. Riley is staying at her parents house so Corey asked Shawn and I if we could host him for the week. I said yes." I couldn't really get mad at her for being a good friend.

"Okay. I think I'm going to head back to my hotel." I smiled weakly. My mom nodded in understanding. As I left the room I bumped right into Joshua Matthews.

"Hey Maya. I actually wanted to talk to you." He said. I sighed knowing I couldn't avoid him forever.

"Okay come to my old room." He followed me.

"This is where I'm staying actually." He chuckled. I nodded awkwardly and sat on the bed.

"I just wanted to know...is it too late for us?" I was surprised by his question. Before I could answer I got a call from Zay.

"I have to take this." I stood up and walked down the hall before answering. "Hello?"

"HI." It was not Zay.

"What the hell do you want?" I snapped angrily.

"I need to talk to you. What happened with Missy was a big misunderstanding. Please come back I will explain everything."

"Why should I trust you?"

"Because I love you Maya. I always have. Please let me fix this. I will do anything." He sounded on the verge of tears and his words made my heart melt.

"Okay. I'll be there. Meet me by the front hallway." I hung up and returned to Josh. "I have to go. I'm we can uh pick this up later." I pecked his cheek for some unknown reason before heading back to the reunion. I was all ready to run in and confess my love for Lucas when I see him pushed up against the lockers his hands roaming all over none other then Missy. He was clearly into it. I heard him moan and that was the last straw. I sprinted away. I heard him call my name but I didnt look back.

I got to the hotel room and saw a tie, Farkles, on the doorknob. That was what Dani and I did when we had guests. I had no where to go. I sat against the wall and pulled out my phone. I was angry and needed to get some of that out. I texted Zay.

I thought we were friends! I can't believe you helped him with this sick joke. Go to Hell Isaiah Babineaux.

I still didn't know what to do so I sighed and trudged back to my parents house. At this point it was almost midnight. It had taken me awhile to walk everywhere, not to mention all the times I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to cry.

My parents were probably asleep as was Angie. And if I woke them up there would be hell to pay. So I snuck in through my window just like old times.

Except instead climbing into an empty room I climbed into a room occupied by an old crush.

"Maya?" He asked squinting at me.

"Shhhhh I don't want to wake anyone up." I whispered.

"Besides me apparently." He scoffed letting out a small chuckle.

"I'm sorry I had no where else to go." He sighed and stood up, turning on the lights. I stared at him realizing he was shirtless. He had abs. They were very distracting. He looked at me and his eyes widened.

"Have you been crying?" I nodded and my tears started welling up again. I swallowed the lump in my throat and stared at him.

"Can I stay in here? I'll sleep on the floor I just-"

"You can sleep in the bed with me. I don't mind if you don't." I nodded gratefully. He offered me one of his shirts to change into and I hugged him. After clutching tightly to his muscles, I pulled away and smiled.

"Thank you." He turned around and I changed quickly.

We talked for awhile before I fell asleep, safely wrapped in his arms.
