“You upset that we couldn't head down to Florida?” Joe asked, glancing over at Bailey. Bailey shook her head, slightly.

She would be lying if she were to say that she didn't prefer to be in Florida than to be at a live show. Joe really wanted to go down to visit his family and Bailey was excited to spend her birthday down there, but Joe was called back earlier. Bailey loved spending time with Joe's family, especially his parents, who have grown so fond of not only her but Ryder as well.

She knew that this was Joe's job, and it was something that he couldn't just call out sick from. She had expected him to have another week off since he wasn't scheduled until the pay-per-view, but Vince wanted him at the weekend's live events.

“There'll be other times.” She said with a small smile.

“What are you planning on doing today?” He asked, knowing exactly what the answer was.

“Brie and Nikki invited me to lunch, by then hopefully Ryder and Kia landed.” She answered, “You promised me dinner after the show.”

He sighed, softly, “I know this probably isn't how you want to spend your birthday.”

“It's fine.” She said, smiling over at him, “The twins said that they'll make up for it, despite not having to. I really just wanted to spend it with you, Ryder, and Kia, but your friends offered to keep me out of the hotel while you're training.”

She was slowly starting to grow fond of the twins. Brie was really nice to her, and while Nikki had her moments, she was slowly starting to not be so bitchy towards Bailey. She was texting Brie a lot these days, considering that Kia had school finals all week.

“I'll make sure to thank them when I see them.” He said, “Do you need me to drop you off before I head to the gym?”

“Yeah, please, then after, Brie will take us all to the arena.” Bailey fixed her hair in the mirror, “Are you wrestling tonight?”

“No, I just have to come out after Jon and Colby’s match.”

Bailey tensed, slightly at Jon's name. She didn't want to be alone with him for a while. She didn't even want to talk to him about earlier this week. She was hoping that she wouldn't have to talk to him about it, especially not today.

“Oh, look, there are the twins.” Bailey pointed out as soon as Joe pulled up to the restaurant.
