summary: shi wants to tell mu that he loves him and mu wants to tell shi that he loves him
warnings:

Mutsumi lie on his bed with his boyfriend of a few weeks, Shinomiya. They were finishing homework together, occasionally getting distracted by the other and kissing until they realized they had work to do.

*insert math here*... his mind quickly calculated the problem and after a few strokes of his pencil, he was finished. He let out a soft sigh and glanced at Shi, who was still quickly scribbling his answers down on a crumpled piece of paper.

Mu took his time to admire Shi's beauty. His poreclain white skin, constantly dusted with the rose blush that covered his cheeks. His light, cinnamon hair hung in his eyes and he would continuously swipe it away, a slight frown on his cute face.  His eyes... Mu smiled warmly. Shi's large, chocolate eyes focused on the words on his homework, blinking rapidly and shining with deep concentration.

Shi's personality too, of course. The way he acted so flustered and embarrassed around Mu before they started dating. His hands always covered his blushing face, and his legs would often tangle together, causing him to trip and fall over frequently. Shi trying to act tough and manly just ended up with him seeming more cute and dainty, which was pretty much how he always acted. He was the pretty-boy, not the jock or tough-guy, but that's why Mu adored him. He couldn't see himself with anyone else really.

He gazed lovingly at the beautiful boy and wondered how he got so lucky.

"Senpai..." Shi called suddenly, looking up from his paper. Mu quickly snapped out of his daze.

"Oh! Yes Shinomiya?" Mu replied, moving closer to the boy.

Shi flushed and continued. "Can you help me with this question?"

"Sure," Mu nodded his head and leaned over to observe the paper. He couldn't focus really, his thoughts all consisted of Shinomiya... Shinomiya... Shinomiya... at the moment. Mu turned to face him before leaning in and softly pressing his lips to Shi's.

Shi's eyes widened for a moment before hesitantly fluttering shut. They kissed until finally pulling away, a blush on Shi's face and a smile on Mu's.

"What was that for?" Shi questioned, repostioning himself on his bed.

I love you. Mu thought.

"I like you..." Mu uttered. He was scared that Shi didn't love him back.

Shi kissed his cheek and smiled happily, resting his head on Mu's shoulder. "I...like you too!"

"Shinomiya!" Mu called, laughing. They were at the park, running around aimlessly like children. That was how they were, anyway.

"Mutsumi!" Shi yelled and felt himself lose his footing. He screamed as he fell face first onto the ground, his body starting to roll down the hill. He quickly stopped himself and carefully sat up, wincing and pulling the grass from his hair.

"Are you okay!?" Mu shouted as he sprinted to the clumsy boy. He kneeled down next Shi, his face worried, and began wiping the dirt off of his boyfriend's face with his thumb.

Shi examined his boyfriend's face thoughtfully, his eyes glossing over Mu's face and body. He often overlooked Mu's good looks, but he looked beautiful as ever in the shining sunlight. Shi sighing lovingly. His thick, dark hair that he would sometimes run his fingers through when he was worried or nervous about something. His kind, jade eyes that sparkled when he saw Shi (which would always make Shi blush.) His strong arms that held him when they slept and would wrap around Shi's shoulders.

Mu was always so calm, and forgiving. He was kind to everyone, which would sometimes make Shi jealous, but Mu always reassured him that he was his. He was so smart and intelligent when it came to schoolwork, but was so clueless at everything else. Mu would always show Shi affection, even if they were in public (which would result in Shi constantly reminding Mu that everyone could watch them.) But Shi loved Mu's kisses and constant attention, he made him feel like a princess.

I love him.

Shi's brown eyes widened.

I LOVE HIM!

He frantically shook his head.

You can't tell him, not right now!

"Shinomiya, are you alright?" Mu questioned, a concerned expression on his face.

Shi bit his lip then looked up at Mu, beaming.

"Nothing. I'm just really happy."

Mu smiled and engulfed him in a large hug. Shi buried his face in his chest. He felt safe there.

"Can I tell you something?" Mu asked Shi, he wore a somewhat serious expression. (They were in Mu's room again, a few days later.)

Shi's face fell and his heart felt heavy. Oh no, oh god no.... he's breaking up with me! He has to be! No! I haven't even told him that I love him yet! I love him with all my heart... Is it too late? He has to know-

"I LOVE YOU!" Shinomiya screamed. His eyes widened and he slapped a hand over his mouth.

The room was dead silent for a few seconds.

Mu smiled and walked toward him, his arms extended. "I love you too, Shino! That's what I was going to tell you!"

"W-what?" Shi stuttered, feeling Mu's strong arms wrap around him. Maybe I'm overthinking things.

Mu left soft kisses on his head and stroked his silky hair gently. Shi felt stupid for thinking Mu would dump him, for he knew that was something he would never do.

"I love you," Shi whispered as he gripped the sleeve of Mu's shirt, pulling him close.

"I love you, I love you, I love you," Mu said into his fluffy hair and kissed his forehead. "My Shinomiya."
