"Oi! Kirari! Sit with us!" Nanashima called his little sister to the living room, where he and Igarashi sat."Coming Onii-chan!" the girl chirped, quickly closing her Puri Moon book and running to her brother.
Iga and Nana both sat on the couch, looking somewhat serious and staring at her with a stern, humourless expression.
Kirari's eyes started to water. "Am I in trouble?"
Nana's gaze softened, "No, no! We just need to tell you something... important."
"What is it?" Kirari questioned, climbing on the sofa cushion. Iga and Nana exchanged glances.
"Uh..." Iga started. "You know when people are in love?"
Nana slapped his forehead. Idiot!
"What he means to say, is, do you understand when two people love each other?"
"Yeah!" Kirari nodded enthusiastically before gasping. "Do you have a girlfriend Onii-chan?"
"Uh.." Nana blushed and glanced at Iga, whose eyes were wide. "Something like that-BUT we aren't at that part yet...!" he trailed off. "Do you understand what it means to be in love?"
"Yeah! Mommy says it's when a girl and a boy love each other and get married."
Nana and Iga exchanged nervous glances. "Uhm... do they have to be a girl and boy?" Iga questioned awkwardly.
Kirari thought for a moment. "No," she said. The two boys breathed a sigh of relief. "Animals can be in love too!"
Nana groaned and buried his face in his hands irritably. "Uh-no that's not what I meant..." Iga laughed nervously.
"My neighbor's dogs are in love! I was at their wedding!" the girl exclaimed, beaming.
"Oh-well.. that's nice," Iga said. Nana smacked his arm. Idiot!
"What Iga means to say is 'can a girl and a girl be in love or a boy and boy be in love?'"
"Oh!" his sister wondered. "I've never thought of that before."
"Yeah!" Nana said sarcastically, nodding his head up and down. Iga rolled his eyes and slung his arm around Nana's shoulder to calm him down.
Kirari looked around the room, deeply thinking about what her brother said. "I dunno," she finally concluded, shrugging. Nana nearly hit her with the pillow but then remembered he was a loving, supportive older brother.
"Well, Kirari! Do we have news for you!" Nana nearly yelled, grinning so widely it looked like his smile was taking up half his face. Iga rolled his eyes again at his weird boyfriend.
Kirari smiled excitedly. "What news?"
"Igarashi and I are in love!" Nana exclaimed, taking Iga's hand and swinging in the air.
The girl's eyes widened. "Really?"
"Yep!" Nana replied, giving Iga a big kiss on his cheek.
Kirari gasped loudly before smiling giddily and practically jumping on the two boys, giving them big hugs.
"That's great Onii-chan!" she squealed and hugged Nana's arm. Iga smiled and gazed at Nana, who looked pretty relieved.

"You seemed pretty happy about your sister supporting us," Iga said that night. The two boys lie in Nana's bed, Nana's head resting in Iga's lap.
"Of course!" Nana exclaimed.
"She was pretty supportive," Iga realized, running his fingers through the blonde's hair.
"Well, she's only ten, she believes anything I tell her." Children can be more open-minded than adults most of the time... Iga thought to himself.
There was a few moments of silence.
"I'm proud of you," Igarashi said suddenly.
"Why? I didn't do anything," Nana asked.
"You came out to your sister, that takes courage."
Nana blushed. "R-really? Well, you did too..."
"I mean it Nana," Iga smiled, staring into his boyfriend's emerald eyes. "You were really scared about telling her and you did."
"I wasn't scared!" Nana defended.
Iga narrowed his eyes and raised his eyebrows in an expression that read I'm-your-boyfriend-I-know-you-and-how-you-usually-act.
Nana pouted, but deep down he knew his boyfriend was right. Telling someone something that might change their opinion of you forever can be scary, even if you have to thoroughly explain yourself and the situation before the person understands. Nana was happy he was able to tell his sister his opinion rather than his parents teaching their homophobic views to their daughter first.
"I love you," Iga cooed, smiling admiringly at the blonde.
"I love you too..." Nana replied, scooting in closer to the taller boy.
Iga leaned in to Nana so that their noses were faintly touching before kissing him softly. It was a gentle, loving kiss that made Nana's heart flutter.
I'm lucky to have him...
But I'm also tired.
Nana pulled away and yawned before resting his head on Iga's chest, his eyes droopy.
Iga gently ran his fingers down Nana's back, silently humming a familiar tune into his messy, blond hair.
The two boys eventually fell asleep.
