When Samantha reached the Whomping Willow, she looked around. Nobody in sight.
She came as close as she would without being crushed by the tree. The sun had just set and now only the silver light from the moon flooded over the grounds.
Samantha layed on the ground, looking up to the beautiful moon that was almost full. She quietly turned into a Husky, her favorite dog. Then she remembered that it was probably a bad idea since they weren't very common here. Plus, everything would get caught in her long fur. So she turned into a brown labrador.
She waved her tail and ran around the whomping willow to try and sniff another dog. Maybe she should have turned into a Boxer or some kind of fight dog?

"Wuff!"

She turned around to see a very shaggy black dog. She ran over to him and -she couldn't help herself- sniffed his butt. It just said so much about other dogs. The black dog seemed to laugh and quickly turned around to face her.

He nodded his head in the direction of the forest and Samantha willingly followed him. He didn't seem to be a threat.

Once they reached the dark shadows of the tall trees, the dog barked at her once more. Normally, she understood what animals were trying to say, but she felt this was not an animal. What student was hiding behind this black dog? Probably this 'Padfoot'.

The dog suddenly changed, the fur disappeared and after a few Minutes, a boy stood in front of her. A naked boy. The Labrador covered his eyes with his paws while the boy ran to a tree and got some clothing.

"Samantha. I know that this is you. I don't mean any harm."

Samantha's heart skipped beat. How on earth did Sirius Black out of all people figure her secret out? She changed back into a human -with clothes on- and looked at him.

"I know what you are now" he said smirking, because he had finally figured it out.
"You are a metamor-"

"Fuck you! You know nothing about me and I swear to Salazar Slytherin, if you tell anyone about this, I will.."

"You will what? I know that you are not evil, you couldn't even hurt a fly. But don't worry, Princess. Your secret is safe with me. And you won't tell anyone I'm an animagi of course."

"Why are you doing this? You hate me", Samantha said, furrowing her eyebrows. She wrapped her arms around herself, without the fur it was quite cold out here.

"I know where you are and how you feel right now. Trust me, I grew up in a Slytherin family as well. But they don't control you. You control your own life. This is not just about Slytherin or Gryffindor. It is about a war that is happening outside of Hogwarts. Please just be careful who you surround yourself with."

Sirius said, remembering how he carried her through the castle with those marks on her neck. How he healed and obliviated her. How he snuck into the Slytherin common room wearing the invisibility cloak and  because he knew the password from Regulus. How he put her into her bed and leaned over to give her a kiss on the forehead.

Why, oh why did he care so much for her? Probably because he had been through roughly the same thing but she didn't have a James to guide her. She didn't have a Mrs. Potter to hug her and tell her that everything would be alright.

"I don't know what you are talking about. I am fine and I happen to like my friends", Samantha replied, but she wished she actually meant what she said.

Sirius came closer and looked her directly in the eyes. Her heart beat faster and she realized how similar his and Reg's eyes. looked. But Sirius didn't have that childish wonder in his eyes like Reg. He looked so grown up, even though he was just 15 years old.

"When you change your mind, come find me. I like to hang out here, almost every night after Quidditch practice. I can help you to stand up for what you believe in."

He turned around and walked back to the castle, leaving Samantha speechless. This was the first time in her life when someone said this to her and actually meant it. Wanting her to do good. She took some deep breaths, smelling the strong aftershave of Sirius. And just like that, she knew that she didn't have a crush on Reg, but on Sirius.

"Stop this nonsence, Sam!", she told herself but it didn't help. "He is the bully of your brother!", she said, with more strength in her voice and this time, she pushed Sirius out of her thoughts. For about three seconds.

"Damn it!", she screamed at the forest. The feelings were just rushing over her. Feeling betrayed by her own family even though they did nothing wrong. Feeling used by Sky, feeling like she only befriended her to get to Reg. Feeling save with Sirius, a boy who she was supposed to hate. Feeling guilty for never helping Remus Lupin, even though she knew that he was a werewolf.

And then, she just screamed again. And it felt good, she felt relieved.

With a much clearer head, she returned to the castle. Yes, she had a plan.
