I smile at Scott as he does our intro. He just looks so animated, I'm so happy I agreed to this video.
"My name is In!" Scott grins, looking to me.
"And my name is love! And that's exactly what we are," I smile wider, leaning into Scott's shoulder as he laughs. I laugh with him, shrugging as I sit back up.
"That's basically what this video is about! Love. We're going to explains what love is today!" Scott said. "As if you don't already know," he adds, mumbling. I giggle, trying my best to be as un-obvious as I can.
"Now y'all may think love is tolerance and sex. Actually, no. You probably don't think that. That's weird. But love is so much more than romance and symbolism," I add, looking to the camera and keeping my eyes off scott.
"That's right. A big part of love is care. You need to know if they're alright, make sure they're safe, and you want to be there for them when things aren't as great as you might hope for it to be. It's about drying tears and holding them, it's about making sure they're warm at night and doing everything to keep them happy." He pauses for a moment, allowing me to speak.
"Another big part is appreciation. Love isn't about settling, it isn't about being stuck with what you get. Love is about constantly trying to figure out why you deserve the other person, why they love you. And you might think, won't I be belittling myself? That's the thing, no," I smile at the camera, trying not to grin. "When you're in love, you never feel like you're worthless. You don't feel like they're better, and if you start to, they are always there to help you remember that you are equal."
"Which brings us all to the next topic, equality. Equality is a large part of love. It's huge, actually. You and your partner should both know that neither of you are better than the other. In your eyes, they're everything. They're your world. All their quirks, all their features, everything about them is important to you. And they should make you feel like you can be sure they feel the same when they think of you." Scott rambles, occasionally staring off at nothing as he talks. His hands accentuate his words, his smile enough to distract from everything he's saying.
"And for number four, agreement. And no, not just with sex, though sexual consent is extremely important. You don't feel that you need permission from your other, but you don't want to do anything to upset them. You want to agree on things, and always try find something that you do agree on. Arguments are natural, they're going to happen, but they shouldn't become a part of your daily routine. And no matter what, you never purposely start an argument." I nod, agreeing with myself and looking to Scott as I bring my part to a close.
"And to top it all off, number five; loyalty. Loyalty and trust go hand in hand. If you can't trust your significant other, there's probably a reason. And if you think loyalty is insignificant to your relationship, you're probably not going to last very long," I smile, shrugging. This video is a lot different from how we usually speak, or well, act. Not to say I don't like it, it's just different.
"And with that, we have something to tell you," Scott says. He smiles, doing his infamous lip-bite. "Mitch and I are.. together. It's quite obvious already, but this is the big reveal!" Scott says, emphasizing with his hands with a nervous chuckle. I grin at him, grabbing his hand and looking back to the camera.
"We've been together since, well, Christmas. We were dropping hints, trying to be as obvious as we could until our producers would let us reveal our relationship to all you guys." Scott smiles as me as I speak, leaning over and kissing my cheek. I raise my eyebrows, looking at him and smiling again. He smiles back at me, his eyes locking with the camera again as he goes on about his weekly obsession.
I've been so entranced with the way Scott just is, that I just now realize it's my turn to talk about my weekly obsession. I begin to ramble about some random thing, not really caring at the moment what I'm talking about. I look back to Scott and notice him staring at me.
"Scott, what's your song of the week?" I ask, my smile falling the more I relax with his stare still on me.
"I don't have one," comes his simple response, his stare dropping to my lips. I roll my eyes, giggling at how he's acting.
"C'mon, Scotty. Do it for the people," I whine, noticing him slowly leaning toward me. I feel like I'm leaning in too, like he has this invisible hold on me and it's pulling me closer to him. Oops.
"They won't mind." Scott leans closer, his free hand finding my shoulder as he turns me toward him. I lift my head a little, allowing him better access to my lips. Suddenly, his lips are on mine. I smile slightly more into the kiss, my smile falling the more I put into the kiss.
I pull away, red as I realize we kissed on camera. And not for a skit or a short medley, romantically. I lightly laugh, leaning into his side. He wraps his arms around me, basically hugging me.
"I love you, you giggly bitch," Scott grins, looking down at me. I smile as my eyes meet his.
"I love you, too, you clingy brat," I laugh, throwing his arms off me as I stand up, making my way to the camera to stop the video. Once the camera is off, I grin again and jump back onto the couch next to Scott.
"I love you more," Scott competes.
I smile again. "Sure you do."
