(See I didn't lie, I actually did post an authors note today ha)
Hey there :)
Now, before you start throwing tomatoes at me, I'm sorry. I have an explanation; not an excuse. An actual reason this time.
But, first off, what the fuck is happening in the scömìche fandom? Flames are everywhere, vases and glasses are shattering against walls, screaming can be heard from the deep pits of hell, children are dying. So much is going on right now.
Basically- scömìche were a thing. Keyword being were. It's really exciting to know that our otp was together, and that they were a thing, but it's still really important that we respect their privacy. It's hard to imagine the anxiety it caused them to put that in their book. If you don't know what's going on, spend a good five minutes on twitter. You'll probably get the gist of it.
Anyway, this is an important authors note. I mean, not extremely important, but I haven't done anything in two months, so I guess it could be. I'm close to reaching 300 followers, and I am absolutely astonished. We have reached a lot of milestones, but I didn't think even 10 people would take time to hit follow, let alone 294. Since we're about to reach a new milestone, I'm sorting through a few one-shot ideas that I've had collecting dust in my drafts. My question is, which idea would you guys like to see first? (These aren't finished drafts, I'd like you guys to have as much impact as possible on this.)
One: Post-Apocalyptic era. Few people remain, food is scarce, and all must rely on one-another for survival. Previous conflicts don't matter, and everyone works simply to survive.
Two: Long distance AU. Scott and Mitch meet over the internet, and immediately hit it off. The only problem- they're 2,500 miles away from each other.
Three: Adopting a pet together. What more do I say?
And, as always, please do know that I am always open to suggestions. I love to hear your guys' ideas, and hopefully I'll incorporate some of them into a one-shot :)
So, onto my explanation. Writing has always been something I enjoyed. I did it for fun, I did it because I loved it. I wanted to share that joy, and I wanted to show what I made to others. The problem was- it wasn't fun anymore. It didn't feel like it was even me writing, and it felt like I was doing it to fill a quota. I kept trying to put pressure on myself with a schedule and kept trying to be frequent with updating, but here's the problem; Creativity can't be scheduled. And it sucked, it felt like what I was making wasn't from me. It felt extremely forced, and that's not what I wanted. So, I accidentally took an unannounced hiatus, but I'm back. I really do hope you understand. :)
I love you guys, and I'm sorry I haven't been showing my appreciation for your support. So, now that I'm done with that mess of an author's note, I'm going to get back to my millions of one-shot drafts and try to organize myself.
Farewell for now 👋🏼
