Dan's POV
"Hey, Phil... It's me. Dan. I miss you. A lot. I love you, and I'm so sorry - I love you so much-" I break down. I can't continue. I sigh down the phone and hot tears run down my reddened cheeks.
There's a quiet breath on the other end of the phone and a voice spoken through a smile. "Hi Dan. I love you too... Are you crying? Don't cry, baby, I love you, don't cry, it's okay..." his voice trails off as I choke on a sob.
"Phil?"
"Yeah?"
"Ph-Phil!" I grin through tears. "You're okay! I knew you were, are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, Dan. I love you, Llama."
"I love you too, Lion. You're going to be okay, we're going to be okay, everything's going to be okay, I promise you."
I can hear him smile down the phone, letting out a small sigh as he grins.
