Chapter 6 Meeting the Pack

"Where have you been?!"
Claire was upset, worried and very angry at me being late.
"I was just walking around in the woods," I said, "I must have lost track of time.
"You don't know this place very well you could have been hurt or lost or kidnapped"
I looked at Emma who was enjoying how her mom was yelling at me.

"I'm sorry" I said, "I was just running with the Max, the neighbor down the road"
Her looked soften a bit, "Oh you were with Max," she sat down on the chair, " Well I guess that's okay she's a good kid, a bit strange though. "Okay but next time you call me and tell me your going to be late."
I nodded and and Emma looked at her mother in shock, "Your letting her off the hook?!" Emma yelled, "She goes off all day comes back late and that's it?!"

Claire just sighed and Emma went storming up stairs.
I walked up to my room and passing Emma she gave me a dirty look and slammed her door shut.
I didn't eat, I couldn't I was too excited to meet everyone tomorrow.

The next day I ate breakfast, told Claire I was going to Max's house, and promised I would be back before 8.
All Claire said was ,"I'm glad you are making friends."

I ran all the way to her house.
When I got there she was already waiting for me.
She had on a black t-shirt and jeans shorts. "Hey everyone's waiting inside," said said, "Come on!".

She dragged me into her living room where 3 others kids my age sat taking.
As I entered the room they all stopped talking and looked at me,
"So this is Ira" one of them said. "Yeah" Max said as we sat on the couch facing the group.
There was a tall boy with dark hair, "That's Skylur," Max said, "he's my boyfriend," she then pointed to a shorter boy, "Then Jonny", there was girl with short blond hair and very skinny and small, "and that's Jordan," she finished.

"Hi it's great to meet you" I said.
"Same with us" Jordan said smiling,
I studied the others, Skylur had a leather jacket on and jeans, Jonny was wearing a blue shirt and Jordan had a purple dress on.

After taking I found out they were all in the pack and live about a block away, after getting to know them I put together their personality traits.

Skylur had a humor that was hard not to laugh at and seemed pretty chill when Max got a little crazy with a pen and stabbed him. (By Accident)

Jonny was on the nerdier side and was a bit chubby for his age. Jordan was quiet but not shy, she said a lot but her words were drowned out as Max and Skylur started yell about something.

All in all I like them, they were a little weird and crazy but fun. We decided to go for a run before dinner.
As we shifted one by one I went last to see what the others looked like.

Skylur was a grey wolf, Jonny was brown like mine but a lot lighter, and Jordan was a dirty blond.
They others looked in awe at the color of wolf.
We ran all afternoon till I went back to the Stones.

I said bye and ran my way back knowing I just had the best day of my life.
