Chapter 28 Dark Circle

Van and I ran back to his house.

When we shifted my clothes were destroyed.

He went inside and came back out with a silky blue robe.

He put it around my shoulders and we went inside.

We sat in his living room and he went in his kitchen and came back with tea.

He sat down across from me looking distracted.

I leaned back into the couch and looked at the clock on the wall.

His eyes met mine and I looked down at my cup of tea blushing.

After a long silence he spoke up, "Did you know you could do that?".

I put my cup down on the table, "I guess I mean..I saw it in a dream."

He gripped his cup, "Do you have dreams like that often?"

He seemed to be alarmed so I tried to sound confident, "Sometimes but not every night."

I looked at him wondering why he was asking all these questions.

"Why did you want to know and who were the wolves that trapped up in the field." I asked.

He put his cup down and leaned towards me, "I can't say too much but you and your friends are not the only ones who have ran into those wolves," he said in a loud whisper.

"What do you mean?" I said, "who are they?".

He got up and lock the door, then peaked out the window before sitting down next to me.

I felt my face heat up but ignored it, he leaned close where I could feel his warm breath on my cheek.

"Their called the Dark Circle," said Van, "they showed up a few weeks ago and I'v been keeping a close eye on them".

I could tell by his voice that he was serious questions filled my mind, "What do they want?"

"I don't know but I do know that their up to no good," he said, "their the ones that...they killed that girl that you found in the woods".

I felt a chill crawl down my spine and before I could ask more someone coughed.

We both slightly jumped and I saw a girl standing at the bottom of the stairs.

She had his same hair and eyes wearing a big T-shirt and shorts.

"What's going on?" she said sleepily, "who's this?", she said looking at me.

He scooted away from me, "This is Ira she and I was just taking".

"Oh," she said, " is she that gold wolf I saw last full moon?".

"Yeah," he said them looked over at me, "Ira this is my twin sister Amber".

"Hi", I said.

"Hey" she replied.

Feeling uncomfortable I got up, "I should go it's late and your probably busy tomorrow".

Van nodded, "Yeah I'll walk you home,".

Amber waved and went upstairs.

We walked back in silence till we reached my house.

"Come back tomorrow and I'll tell you more," he said.

"Okay" I said.

I looked at my bare feet, "Oh your probably want your robe back," I said about to take it off but he stopped me.

"Keep it" he said.

I smiled and before but I climbed up into my window I didn't know why but my instincts were pulling me to him.

I peaked him on the cheek and we both turned red.

He smiled back and I climbed up in my window.

I went to bed thinking 'wow I can't wait to see him again'

I was still wearing his robe, I dug my nose deep in it.

It smelled amazing, it smelled like Van.
