*Juliette's pov*
As soon as Alexa got home from school Friday, we were in my car on our way to the woods.
"I'm so excited! I can't believe you actually agreed to this."
"I can still change my mind, Lex."
"Sorry. I'll stop talking."
"No. It's fine. You're excited. You can keep talking."
I wasn't lying. Hearing Alexa talk was better than being surrounded by silence. That's wjat these woods were. Silent. It's was too quiet and really creepy. I hated it.
"You know, people say vampires live out here."
"Vampires don't exist, Alexa."
"They could."
"We'll be out here for 3 days. No talking about vampires or werewolves or anything else like that."
"Then what are we supposed to talk about?"
"Your classes. Tell me about your classes."
"Ok. Well......."
I was automatically distracted and stopped listening to Alexa.
"Juliette?"
"Yeah?"
"Were you even listening to me?"
"Sorry, Alexa."
"It's ok."
"I set up our stuff while you were at school."
"It's not set up anymore."
Alexa looked disappointed, which was understandable. Our tent had been completely destroyed.
"Alexa-"
"Who would do this?"
"We can fix this."
"How?"
"We have another tent at the house. I'll go get it. Just stay here."
"Ok."
I ran back to my car and drove back to our house.
*Alexa's pov*
I stayed at our destroyed campsite and waited for my sister to get back.
I waited for about an hour before calling her. She didn't answer.
I called her several times and even left a few messages.
"You know, they say vampires live out here."
