Chapter 22:He Understands.

Nora's POV

I step out of the shower and see Rachel laying on my bed and smiling at her phone screen.

‘‘Boyfriend?’’I simply ask walking to the bed and dropping my towel.

‘‘Mate’’she grins.

‘‘Don't look at my body’’I pull up an underwear‘‘but who is it?’’I clasp my bra and wear the straps.

‘‘Luke’’she smirks.

I freeze‘‘as in Luke Brooks?’’I look at her‘‘the one who lives here?’’

‘‘Yeah’’she nods.

My stomach turns and my heart drops in my stomach and shatters‘‘how?’’she looks at me like I have gone nuts‘‘I-I mean how did you find out?’’why the fuck I am feeling this way?

‘‘I just ran into him when I got here,’’a smile covers her face‘‘and...... We just knew’’she shrugs her shoulders.

‘‘Wow. That is-its a-um nice’’I am at a loss of words.

He cannot be my crush.

I did not have a crush on Luke.

Klaus is my soul mate, I just had...... Fuck! What is happening?

My subconscious walks here and there shouting and tugging at her hair.

I should be happy, Rachel is my friend and she found her mate.

‘‘Let me zip it because you can't and that is pretty damn clear’’Rachel motions to the light blue knee length dress I absentmindedly pulled on me.

‘‘Yeah’’I nod turning around, she is behind me in a second and zips my dress‘‘have you seen Klaus?’’I look at the wall in front of me.

‘‘Nope, I mean yeah I guess. In the morning I saw him storming into his room’’She turns me around and mumbles a ‘perfect’. ‘‘Did you two have a fight?’’

‘‘No, I mean not really’’I walk to the dressing table and sit on the chair in front of me.

‘‘Do you wanna talk about it?’’she starts to brush and blow dry my hair.

‘‘No’’I look at her from the mirror.

‘‘Okay’’she sighs.

‘‘So, how are you and Brooks’’I try to enlighten the mood.

‘‘Well, we had our first date which went pretty well, he made love to me’’she smiles‘‘and now we live in the same room.’’

‘‘You two are perfect’’I sigh‘‘I wish we could be like that’’I mumble.

‘‘What?I didn't get it’’she puts my hair in a high bun.

‘‘Nothing’’I shake my head and she pins my bangs.

‘‘Okay, your ready’’she puts a silver necklace in my neck.

I get up and step into the silver high heels she pulled out of my wardrobe.

We walk to the door‘‘hey, I have gotta run bye’’Rachel says and before I can say anything she runs away. Sighing, I walk to the living room and bump into someone due to just looking at the floor.

‘‘Hey’’Luke smiles.

‘‘Hey Luke how are you?’’I smile back.

‘‘I am good you?’’he asks.

‘‘I am good’’I smile‘‘so.......... Mate huh?’’

‘‘Yeah’’he smirks looking at the ground rubbing the back of his neck.

‘‘Look, I know things haven't been so perfectly awesome between us............... But, you know we can try as friends because there is always hope’’I smile looking looking up at him.

‘‘Yeah and then we can see how it goes from there’’he nods understandingly and smiles.

‘‘Yeah’’we both hug excitedly.

‘‘Nora’’comes the voice which tears up apart.

‘‘Klaus’’I pull back and run into his arms, he is surprised first but then he hugs me back. I peck his lips when we pull back and smile.

‘‘Lets go’’he says smiling weakly.

I nod‘‘bye Luke’’I smile and wave as he mirrors.

‘‘I swear I did not want to be hard on you it just...........its....um......I am short tempered like Damon I am like my brothers and because of that my eyes are light blue like Damon and my hair are like light brown Stefan and I talk like crazy when I am nervous or tensed and.....’’he nods first but silences me when I keep babbling on random stuff by pressing his lips against mine.

‘‘Its okay, I just left because I am new and you are just experiencing your next and it could not be all perfect and happy and lovely’’he smiles turning the key in ignition, bringing the ignition to life.

‘‘Oh My God Klaus, you are so understanding’’I smile and kiss his cheek as my lips make contact with his little facial hair.

‘‘Only for you Nor only for you’’he rubs his hand on my arm.

‘‘Ready?’’he looks at me.

‘‘As I'll ever be’’I smile nervously and he presses the gas pedal.

What will happen at The Elders Place? God, whatever happens, just make it good.
