Chapter 23:Stone Hearted And Cold.

Nora's POV

I take a deep breath as I step out of the car holding Klaus' hand.

As I see the mansion, I start to panic. My breathing becomes abnormal and my palms start sweating.

‘‘Hey’’ Klaus stands in front of me, holding my face with both of his hands as his thumbs massage my temples‘‘it is going to be okay. You have to believe me, you were drunk and you are not here to be asked questions, you are here to give your statement and see them get punished.’’ He gives me a smile and I nod mirroring him.

We walk in the mansion, his hand never leaving my hip.

As we walk in Veronica and Hermione come into view, I wave at them as they do the same.

‘‘Hello’’ they both say in unision.

‘‘I'll be in the hall room with The Elders’’ Klaus smiles and nods in their direction as we all smile and nod.

‘‘So, whats up?’’ I wiggle my eyebrows.

‘‘You tell us, you didn't come since the first time’’ Veronica complains as we all start to walk towards the large garden of the mansion.

‘‘Oh yeah, things got messed up and everything was too jumbled to be solved easily so you know, didn't have time’’ I fix my gaze at the ground ‘‘I went back home and-none of it matters, you guys tell me what have I missed?’’ I ask excitedly.

‘‘Tara and Samantha’’ Veronica sings tapping her fingers in the air as Hermione laughs and I widen my eyes ‘‘they got locked in the underground cellar of the mansion’’ she chuckles.

‘‘Ummm, underground cellar?’’ I ask.

‘‘Its built for the rebellious, abusive and evil ones’’ Hermione smiles.

‘‘If they are punished why am I called?’’

‘‘Timothy is left.’’  Veronica rolls her eyes.

‘‘Oh shit should be good then’’ I shake my head lightly as they both nod and smile.

‘‘Lady Nora,’’ a guard calls from afar as we all turn around.

‘‘Yes?’’

‘‘Lady Juliet is calling you inside’’he motions towards the door of the mansion.

‘‘Okay,’’ I answer him ‘‘guys bye for now, maybe we will see see each other’’ I smile as we hug quickly.

‘‘Oh please, The King is very possessive and protective as soon as you guys are done he'll drag you back’’ Veronica rolls her sky blue eyes as Hermione and I chuckle. I wave them and start following the guard.

‘‘Go inside’’he stops opening the door of an office.

Okay, not the awkward stage again. Good.

‘‘Hello’’ I smile at The Elders and stand next to Klaus who wraps his arm around my waist protectively.

‘‘All sobered up and good’’ Anna jokes.

‘‘Yes ma'am’’ I nod.

‘‘Anna’’ Klaus almost whines and tenses up.

‘‘Okay okay’’ she raises her hands in the air.

Wow Klaus. Still a bad ass. Cool. I never thought he would be this cool.

And just then I see the dreadful face standing across from us. He still has the bloody fucking guts to smirk at me.
