Now for more information on Abyssalings as a species.

Species name: Abyssalings

Location: the depths of the sea, lives close to the Deep Palace, with the SeaWings

Diet: whatever wanders into their tenta-trap

Average size: compare to a SeaWing dragonet

Average life span: 10 years

Appearance: Small creatures, Abyssalings "wings" are fins that propel them through the water. They can see in the dark water with their three extra eyes, and closings spots on their tail. Every Abyssaling has a unique mark on their chest, that represents their name in their language.

Naming: Abyssalings are born with their name, and each one has a unique meaning, just like the mark on their chest. Abyssalings without a unique mark are always referred to as "signless", but the Abyssaling themselves choose their own name. An example is Ki'rik. He does not have a mark, and chose his own name, which means " Solitude", Ki'rik being a loner.

Young: Abyssalings are born in clutches of three to five, live from their mother, and spend their first few weeks of life hiding in her tail, and following her everywhere. After the first two weeks or so, they leave and live the rest of their lives near their family.

Other: Abyssalings are most noted for their tails, which glow in the dark and make the creatures very aerodynamic. They bury their bodies in the ground, and let their tails drift in the water, keeping lookout with their three extra eyes. When any small creature happens by, they are captured in the Abyssalings tail, and eaten through a beak at the base of their tails. Like a squid.

That's all I got for now. Abyssalings are a closed species, though I may open them later on.
