The Feud

"What are you doing in here." Caine snorted. She laid on a bed of moss in one corner of the cave, a scroll clutched in her talons.

"I live here too, you know." Sparrow stalked into the open mouth of the cave. She had just escaped the happy, bubbly antics of Tamaril and Abellonn playing outside. The inside might have been full of less conflict, but Sparrow could see now that wasn't gonna happen.

"Just because you were the first one here doesn't mean you're the favorite." Novacaine huffed under her breath, averting her black-eyed gaze from the SkyWing

Sparrow halted, expressionless.

"By the way, that is my moss bed."

"I don't see your name on it."

"Well it's about to have a little arrogant corpse on it!" Sparrow growled.

"Listen" Caine sighed, setting her glasses to the side. "You were here once, and that's all well and fine; but then you weren't, and then I came along. The moss bed is mine. No matter how important you think you are, there are still guidelines to living in this cave full of insufferable idiots. I called it first."

"Oh I am so close to slitting your throat."

"Like you could ever."

"Oh, and you're so much better?!" Sparrow hissed. She ran claws along her scars. "You see these? These were given to me by dragons that bled to death by my claws. I am a weapon to be feared. And what can you do? Be edgy, make threats? Blow smoke in people's faces??"

"My smoke drove my family away." Caine snarled, standing to her feet. "My mother, father, siste-"

"At least you had a family!!" Sparrow roared.

The two stood in heated silence. Sparrow huffed, stomping the ground with one talon. Her tail thrashed. She swept her wings around hr shoulders and shoved her way past Caine, deeper into the caves...
