Trust Me

Marinette fidgeted nervously in her seat. Alya had gone to pick up their order at the counter. The one time Alya wasn't there would be when Adrien showed up. Marinette just knew it. He would just suddenly sneak up on her and-
"Hey Marinette."
Marinette squealed and jumped, falling off her chair.

"A-Adrien!" Marinette exclaimed. "Hi, Hello. How is day? UH, I mean, uh, nice face, NICE PLACE. Nice place. Yea..."

Adrien let out a small laugh. Marinette turned bright red.

"What are you two lovebirds getting up to over here?" Alya asked as she and Nino walked over with the smoothies.

Marinette turned even redder and let out a high squeak that sounded something like Alya's name.

"Lovebirds?" Adrien asked.

Alya just smiled and sat down next to Nino. Adrien opened his mouth to reply, when a scream rang out.

Both Adrien and Marinette jumped up.

"I have to go." Both said at the same time.

Adrien and Marinette quickly ran out of the shop, running opposite ways down the street. Marinette ducked behind a newspaper stand and opened up her purse.

"All ready Marinette?" Tikki asked.

"Tikki, spots on!" Marinette cried.

In a matter of seconds, Marinette had become Ladybug, the protected of Paris.

Ladybug ran out from the stand, grabbed her yoyo, and flew off in search of the akuma. She had barely gone a block before running into it. There was a large hole in the road, several cars having crashed into it. In the center of the hole, there were two people. One of them seemed to be helping the other up.

"Seems like they're in a hole lot of trouble my lady."
Ladybug turned around to see Cat Noir standing behind her.

"As always, your jokes are so hilarious." Ladybug replied.

"Of course they are."

Ladybug rolled her eyes, turning back to the problem at hand.

"Who do you think they are?" Cat Noir asked as he walked up next to her.

"I don't know... I don't think they're akumas.." Ladybug replied.

"I didn't think so either. Shall we go check it out?"
"Yea."

"After you Bugaboo."

Ladybug groaned an leapt off the building, landing on the ground near the hole. She carefully began to approach the figures. Now that she was closer, she could make out their appearances. One was a girl, probably about Ladybug's age, wearing a blue jumpsuit with a long flowing tail and a mask with feathers.

The other was a boy. He had bright red hair, like a tomato, and was dressed kinda like Volpina. Four long gashes ran down his cheek.

"Hello?" Ladybug called.

The girl turned to look at her. The blood rushed out of her face as soon as she saw Ladybug. She quickly turned, grabbing the boy's arm and ran.

"Wait!" Ladybug yelled.

"I got them!" Cat Noir yelled, soaring over Ladybug's head. Ladybug pulled out her yoyo and flung herself in front of them. The two teens skidded to a halt and began to run back the way they came. Cat Noir jumped in front of them, causing them to stop again.
The boy grabbed the girl's hand and pulled them into an alleyway. Unfortunately for them, it was a dead end.

Ladybug and Cat Noir walked slowly into the alleyway. The two teens were staring up at the large brick wall in front of them.

"Come on, I'll boost you up." The boy said.
He moved to lift her up, when he noticed the two superheroes. The girl jumped in front of him before he could even blink.

"I-I won't let you hurt him. I'll... I'll give you my miraculous. Just please don't hurt him." She pleaded.

The boy opened his mouth to protest, when Ladybug interrupted. "We don't want your miraculous. We aren't here to hurt you."

They just stared at Ladybug, not wanting to trust her.

"It's true." Cat Noir said softly. "We don't want to hurt you. We protect people."

"What are your names?" The boy asked suddenly.

"I'm Ladybug, and that's Cat Noir." Ladybug answered.

The boy seemed to relax a bit.

"See it can't be them." He said quietly. "Just look at their outfits."

"They could be lying!" The girl whispered back.

"I really don't think it's them, but you don't have to trust them. Trust me."

The girl paused, before nodding and stepping out towards Ladybug."I'm Peacock. This is my partner Vixen."

"We were fighting our archenemies, when they blasted us with a ray and we woke up here." Vixen said.

"So I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that you guys don't know how to get home?" Cat Noir asked.

"Nope." Peacock replied.

"Don't worry. Cat Noir and I will get you home." Ladybug said as she stuck out her hand. "You can count on us."

"Ok." Peacock replied, grabbing her hand. "We trust you."
