Miraculous Ladybug - The Unfortunate

Old Friends

Nikki searched through the clothing racks, looking for something a least halfway decent.

"Can you use this Marinette?" Alya asked, holding up a super frilly shirt.

"Sure." Marinette replied.

Nikki and Alya were helping Marinette find some fun materials to make clothes out of. Nikki actually found it quite fun.

She continued to search through the thrift boxes, until she found just what she was looking for.

"Marinette!" Nikki held up a cute little blouse with ladybug spots. "How about this?"

Marinette ran over to her and grabbed the shirt. "It's perfect!" She gasped. "I've been looking for a good ladybug print for a while now."

"What are you going to make with it?" Nikki asked.

"Oh, uh, I've been designing different outfits based on the four superheroes. That's why I asked you guys to look for peacock feathers." Marinette said as she stuck the shirt in her basket.

"Oh wow! I can't wait to see them." Nikki said excitedly. "You always make the best stuff Marinette."

"Thanks!" Marinette smiled. "I'll make sure that you're the first to see them."

"What about me girl?" Alya asked walking over.

Marinette laughed. "Don't worry, you'll get to see it too!"

Nikki smiled.

"Well that's-"

Suddenly, the TV in the corner flickered to the news. Nikki stared up at it questioningly.

"Breaking news! A large portal has appeared in downtown Paris. Nothing has yet to come in or out of the portal. Where are our heroes?"

Nikki looked over at Marinette and Alya.
Alya had already pulled out her phone and Marinette... was gone..?

"I have got to go get footage of this for the ladyblog! Catch you later!" Alya ran out of the store.

Nikki quickly walked over to the bathrooms and ducked inside.

"Just say the word Natalie!" Duusu said cheerfully.

"Duusu, transform me!" Nikki cried.

The colorful glow washed over Nikki, turning her into peacock.

Peacock ran out into the open, and spotted Ladybug waiting for her.

"How did you-"

"I was in the area." Ladybug smiled. "Now come on, we've got a city to save!"

Ladybug took off, with Peacock at her heels. "What about the boys?" Peacock asked.

"I called them and told what was happening. Hopefully they've got enough common sense to meet us there."

Peacock and Ladybug rounded the street corner, to find Vixen and Cat Noir waiting for them in front of the huge, white, swirling portal.

"Hey bugaboo. What took you so long?" Cat Noir smiled.

Ladybug groaned and pushed past him. "What have you guys found out so far?"

"Not much..." Vixen replied.

Peacock walked up to Vixen and grabbed his hand. "It's gotta be them..." she said quietly.

Vixen just nodded.

"Don't worry." Cat Noir said as he walked up to her. "We'll defeat them, together."

Peacock smiled.
