She doesn't recognize me? I don't know why I told her my middle name. She's different now even though it's been six years her eyes are still as amazing as they were when we first met in kindergarten. I didn't recognize her until she said that nickname. It was the nickname I gave her when we became friends. I felt a sudden need to get to know her again. She went fully gothic while I was gone but so did I. It hurts to know that she doesn't recognize me but it feels nice to have a fresh start with her. Tomorrow is the day she will know exactly who I am but until then she will be clueless to the truth. I hope that after tomorrow that she will still like me. I think that  all that bullying I did to her really changed her. The sound of her voice held fear and her voice use to never show fear. Even after she walked out of the boy's locker room when I shoved her in there. I also noticed the scars on her arms which I hope I'm not the reason for them cuz I would lose it if I was. I saw a few fresh ones along with her old ones which means she is still cutting. My phone buzzes bringing me out my thoughts.

(Dad)
Son your mother wants to talk to you about school tomorrow. You better not embarrass me when you get home. My friends are over.

(Me)
Yes sir

I took a deep breath as I got in my car and started driving home. The whole drive home I was thinking about her. Her hair, her smile, her eyes, her skin and the way her eyes lit up as she talked. As I was pulling into the driveway I looked over and saw her. Her and her friend was getting stuff out the back of her car. They went into the house as I face palmed myself for forgetting that I live right next to her. I quickly get inside the house and I close the door to see my mom, dad, and three strangers that I've never seen before sitting in the living room. I give a fake warm smile as me and my mom walk to the kitchen.

"Hey mom, what's up? Why did dad text me to come home" I ask as I sit at the table. So that I'm not taller than my mom while she talked to me.

"Alec you know that Winter goes to the highschool, right?" My mom asked with worry in her voice.

"Yes mom, I need to go back to fix things with her" I say as I think of the rumors I was told about her several attempts to end her life. It all started the day I did the unthinkable.

(Alex's flashback)
Winter's hair swung side to side as she walked in to gym class. She was humming a small tune. I was staring at her like Normal when one of my friends spoke.

"Alec, there's that freak Winter. I dare you to shove her into the boy's locker room while we change for gym" he said as he smirked. My friends went into the locker room as Winter walked over to me.

"Hey Alec, how has your day been" she asked with a warm smile. I put my arm on her shoulder, then I suddenly shoved her into the boy's locker room. She screamed as she ran out of the locker room but she showed no fear. Her screams still were playing in my head as I got taken to boarding school.
(End Flashback)

"I know baby but what if the rumors are true" my mom said making me realize that she only cares about her image.

"Mother even if they are true, nothing will stop me from fixing the problem I caused" I said getting mad.

"But baby, what would the neighbors think if you become friends with a gothic freak like her" she asks which pissed me off.

"Mother, look at me I'm gothic" I sorta yelled at her and stormed out the kitchen to my room. My dad and his friends stared at me as I ran up stairs slamming my room door. I kick off my shoes and walk over to the window to see Winter dancing in her room. I smile as I watched her though my blinds. I see the way she moves and it turns me on. I walk away from the window and lay down thinking about what I'm going to do tomorrow. I notice that it was close to 5pm so I leave my room to get something to eat. The moment I open room door u hear a crash so I run down the stairs to find my mom standing over my dad trying to find a pulse on him. There was a broken glass on the floor and the stench of alcohol on his breath. I scrunch up my nose and pulls out my phone calling 911. My dad lay uncounsous on the ground as the EMS people show up. They rush him to the hospital as my mom hops into my car as I dive to the hospital. The whole drive to the hospital my mom is crying and basically having a panic attack in my car. We get to the hospital and wait in the waiting room for any news on my father. My mom calms down some as we wait. Then a tall Young man comes up to us.
"Mrs. Thomasina?" He asks in a gentle-ish voice. My mom looks with hope in her eyes.
"I am she" she says to the doctor with a sad-ish voice.
"I'm sorry to tell you but your husband is in an alcoholic coma" the doctor says with sad eyes as my mom starts crying again.
"You may go see him if you like" the doctor says before walking away. Me and my mom go to his room and see him hooked up to all these tubes and monitors. My Mom cried hard as she held his had sitting in the chair beside him. The whole time she cried I didn't say a word.
"Alec, I need you to go home, go to bed and sleep because you have school tomorrow" my mom said never taking her eyes off my father. I didn't argue and just left and got in my car. I pulled away from the hospital and drove home. When I got home I went to my room saw through my window that Winter's light was out so I closed my curtens. With a deep breath I took a shower layed in bed and listened to my music until I fell asleep.
