A few months have passed after the funeral. I was still alive, surprisingly.
Today dad is planning a dinner for me and apparently someone I don't know of. He said he wants me to meet her, and that she's nice and shit. I really didn't want to go out today, I don't want to go out, ever.
I asked a couple of times if I could stay at home but dad refused. That's how bad he wanted me to meet this person. How could someone be this important to dad? I mean, dad didn't care when Bea died, well atleast that's what I think.
I got ready and put on a baggy sweater and skinny ripped jeans. Usually I would struggle to put these jeans on but I got so skinny after Bea was gone.
I tried to put on make up but I was rubbish. Usually, Bea would do my make up for me. I gave up and just put lip balm on my dry and chapped lips.
I went out of my room to see dad, looking so smart. The last time I saw him looking so smart was when I saw the photos of his wedding with mom. He stared at my face and examined my outfit, "We're going to a fancy restaurant by the way," He pointed out.
I didn't reply.
"So?"
"So what? Do you expect me to change? Cause if you do, no, I'm not going to,"
He sighed and went outside to the car.
We arrived to the 'fancy' restaurant. Although there was not much people here, I was still the only one wearing casual clothes. I didn't care. I just want this dinner to end so I could go back to sleep.
Dad looked around the restaurant and when he finally found the person he was searching for, he dragged me to the table we're supposed to sit.
It was that lady. That lady who I met in the hospital. That lady who dad was talking to at Bea's funeral.
"Aria, right?" She looked like she was pretending she didn't already know my name. She looked so happy to see me. Weird.
"And you are?"
"Oh apologies, my name's Amanda,"
"Oh, nice to meet you," I said, giving an insincere smile.
Dad gave out a chuckle, "Well, I was about to introduce you guys to each other but you already did that but I'm going to do it anyways. Amanda meet Aria, my daughter and Aria meet Amanda," He stopped and grinned. As if there was a surprise, "My girlfriend,"
A girlfriend? A fucking girlfriend? After losing a daughter for 2 months and you have time for a fucking girlfriend? I wish I could shout my thoughts right into his face but I am not a kind of person who throws tantrums.
"Oh," I sighed, my face with no emotions whatsoever.

The dinner finally I ended. I was uncomfortable sitting with this 'couple' they were flirting from the start.
Amanda stayed at our house for a couple of hours. She was so nice to me, she brought me 3 boxes of chocolate and 3 bags of chips, she even broughte a bouquet of black flowers. How did she know my favorite color was black?I loved the flowers so much and I HATE flowers, so extra points to Amanda.
She wasn't bad at all and infact, I kinda like her. Let's just hope she doesn't leave like what Ruby did.
