Chapter Nineteen

Our two weeks in Japan are almost over. Which means that I have to convince manager Hyung to partner up with Soo Hi's company in less than three days. My happiness depends on it.

After that day at the beach, Minho's injury got much better, so we got back on schedule. There was a lot of gossip around the mysterious girl holding Minho's hand when he got hurt. Thankfully the boys were invited to a local TV station and cleared up the whole mess. Fans are still protesting, but at least I haven't been trampled yet.

The boys had to make up for the time lost so they were either on photo-shoots or on host shows for the last week. They have barely enough time for anything! even eating. Poor Onew.

Today they're off doing a charity concert for the Osaka Children's Hospital. This gives me the opportunity to speak to manager Hyung on his own.

I find him in the Hotel's main lobby trying to print some papers.

I take a deep breath. I cannot fail.

"Manager Hyung, may I speak to you"

He continues to fiddle with the papers, obviously implying that he's very busy.

"Sure, what is it Ha Ni"

"Umm I'm sure you're aware of my sister Soo Hi, who's in town..." I say nervously.

"Yeah, that woman is persistent. She came to me and wouldn't leave until I told her what suite you were in, she even threatened to sue me for kidnapping!" He scoffs in disbelief.

"Yeah, that's my sister!" I say a little too enthusiastically.

"So, what about her?"

"I'm sure you know that she owns the 'Fine View' studios company in the US, and that she's interested in partnering up with SM Entertainment"

"Yeah I know"

"Well, I'm just here to say that I personally think you should go for it" I say as cool as possible.

"Please Ha Ni! even I know that you can't be serious! Fine View Studios is a rip off, that's why they make so much money, as soon as the boys debuted, they have been trying to reel us in! they know talent when they see it" He says flinging his arms around in disbelief.

I start to panic. No! I can't lose!

"Please, for me. As a personal favor please accept my sisters offer" I kneel down next to his lap not knowing what else to do.

"Ha Ni! get up, why is this so important?" he takes a hold of my hands and shows concern in his eyes.

"Please, a lot is riding on this decision" I don't realize when my eyes start to water.

Manager Hyung looks at me and his face softens.

"Aish Ha Ni! fine, I'll see why I can do"

A smile spreads across my face and I hug him tightly.

"Thank you! thank you! thank you!" I repeat, letting relief flow over me.

"Just know I'm doing this for you! not for your bossy sister" he says wagging a finger at me.

"Thanks! I owe you one" I say and wave goodbye. I run to my car and call Soo Hi. I want her off my chest.

"It's done" I say simply when she picks up.

"Good. I knew you wouldn't disappoint me, it's a shame you didn't do it earlier, maybe then I wouldn't had have to leak the photos" she says with a small chukle.

"What photos?" I say. She hangs up.

I quickly get on my browser, and sure enough the most searched topic is SHINee. As soon as I click on the link my heart drops and I gasp.

"She didnt!" I stare at myself sitting on Jonghyun's shoulders in the water, then of Minho carrying me. The pictures continue endlessly. Has she been following me and the boys this whole time?

The comments go from shocking to life threatening. Thousands of fans swearing and planning my death. I drop my phone on my lap. How can she be so evil?

My phone vibrates indicating I got a new text message.

"Your manager better come through, or I might just have to leak your current location......and that would be a pity. wouldn't it?" -Soo Hi

I scream and pull my hair. I can feel my head pounding and my hands start to tremble. "I didn't kill mom!" my shrieks shake the whole car. How can she hate me so much as to put my life in danger? after all these years?

I bow my head and mutter silently to myself.

"Please, please , don't let me down"

I hope Manger Hyung can hear me somehow
