Chapter Twenty-Nine

Minho walks me to the door. I sway slightly, still stirred from the intimacy we shared moments earlier.

We stand in the hallway in front of my door. My cheeks burn intensely and almost melt when he places his hand on my face. He caresses me softly and I close my eyes to make the moment last longer.

"I'm not going anywhere" he says smiling, almost as if he heard my thoughts.

"can you hear everything that goes on in my head?" I say teasingly.

"we're always connected. But for me to hear you clearly you need to stay by my side. Then I will always be able to help you" I nod my head in response, wondering how in the world I'm so lucky as to have Minho by my side.

"but what about Taemin?" I say, sadly coming back to reality. Minho drops his hands, and crosses his arms on his chest.

"let me deal with him" he says flatly. I see the intensity in his eyes and I can't help but feel uneasy.

" What about Manager Hyung? won't he oppose?" I say hesitantly. I'm not afraid of Minho, but with the height of six foot two and arm muscles bigger than my face, I will admit that he's pretty intimidating.

His jaw clenches, but when he sees my worried expression, he softens.

"I've got it. Don't worry about anything, just......trust me and do as I say. Okay?"

I think about this and drop my head. He puts his hand on the wall behind me and leans in. I lose my breath as soon as his face is inches from mine.

"Trust me" He kisses me again, but this time I almost faint when I feel his tounge. He's been holding back on me?!

When he stops I'm so dazed that I can't even tell up from down. I've underestimated his manliness.

"Didn't think I was capable of that huh?"  He says in my ear making me tingle all over. He puts his hand on my waist and squeezes. I squeal silently in surprise and he laughs when I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.

He backs away and puts his hand on my head. "Leave it to me Kigo"

I go to bed with those words in my head. How long since someone has called me Kigo? Can me and Minho truly be together without igniting another World War? I flip over to my side and face my panda. Who knew a Panda could start so much trouble. I touch it's fluffy ears and face and can't help but think in Taemin.

I hug the panda to my chest. "I'm sorry Taemin, I'm sorry" I say into the Dark. I wish he could have heard me.

The next morning things go back to the way they used to be. I return to my dorm maintenance duties and the boys return to their busy schedules. I clean the three rooms individually and save Minho's room for last. He's the only one who has his own room.

  I can't help but feel all giddy as I go through his closet. I run my fingers along his crisp white cotton shirt. Everything in here smells like him. I clean all of his trophy's and medals and clean his bed. Of course not before I laid on it and rolled around in it like an idiot.

I leave the room so happy that I don't even notice when the boys ran in until I bump into Onew and land on my butt.

"Get up! you need to see this!" Onew says giving me a hand up.

"you OK?" Taemin say as I rub my butt cheeks.

" I'm fine, thanks" I say and walk over to Minho who just turned on the TV.

We all gather around the TV.

" New in the K-pop world! A lot of talk has taken place after SHINee's return from Japan, The headlines read 'Minho's mystery girl' and 'SHINee's scandal'. Based on our sources, we have confirmed that the pop star was wounded in the Idol games, but what truly shocked our viewers was the young lady by his side holding his hand! Pictures of them together at the beach were later uploaded to our website. However the icing on the cake was this video recorded by a witness on the scene"

The screen focuses on a blurry video.

I gasp.

I see myself on the ground, two girls kick me in the stomach, they're shouting. Suddenly the mob backs away and I see Minho walk towards my limp body. He picks me up from the ground and places me in the van. The camera zooms in on Taemin who is tending to me in the car. The camera returns to Minho who focuses on the mob and threatens them to leave me alone.

The video ends.

The TV shuts off. Minho drops the remote. He grabs his coat.

And he leaves.
