Agnes POV

Fire.

Rage.

That was all I could feel when James hugged Marja.

Intentionally.

I almost dropped to my knees and died right there.

It felt as if my whole world had come crashing down.

Yes, yes, I know what you're thinking, it's only a hug, blah blah blah... But to me that signalled much more.

This could mean that maybe they're together! Maybe I don't even have a chance against that rat of Marja!

Honestly, I... envy her.

James POV

When Marja hugged me, I acted as if I wanted to hug her back.

I didn't.

I like Marja. As a friend. But to me, Agnes is more than that.

I've only known her for a couple of months now, but...

I've already fallen for her.

Marja POV

I hugged James.

Not because I like him.

Not because I love him.

Because of jealousy.

I'm trying to get back at Samuel for dating another girl while dating me. And I'm trying to get back at Agnes for what she did.

You see, Agnes and I were best friends since we were little. We played together all the time.

We were inseparable.

But at the age of eleven, something occurred.

This new guy (a hot one), called Thomas, came across us. We both secretly fell for him and after a month or so, we told each other, not expecting the other's reaction.

We both stamped away from each other in fury, and never again talked. Thomas asked Agnes out for the Valentine's dance, leaving me heartbroken and jealous.

Now is my time to get back.
