Agnes POV
Today they're giving out the roses and cards. Let's see if I got any, shall we?
I sat down. Ugh, just remembered Marja sits next to me.
I opened my box. I had gotten... three cards! Okay, so one from Tayra... another one from Astrid and...
One that looked like a boy had sent it.
Omigod omigod omigod! I thought.
I opened it slowly. It said:
I've liked you for a long time now, but I'm not entirely sure what my feelings for you are. How about we get to know each other?
I smiled happily and danced around. Then I looked at the signature.
It was... Kevyn's.
My smile faded. Wait, so I hadn't gotten a card from James?
"Hey Agnes, look, I got a card!" Marja said.
I looked at the card, afraid of seeing what I didn't want to.
The card was from James.
The card said such sweet things to her, I felt my stomach turn. I felt sick and sad.
Marja took the card out of my face and smiled devilishly.
I sighed.
I decided to take back my plan.
If James doesn't like me, what's the point?
