Agnes POV
I turned around and saw...
Anne.
"What?" I said, wiping the tears away in an effort to look tough.
"I'm sorry. For ditching you. I know it looks like I don't want to be your friend, but since I know you so well, I know you like James. I like him too, so I stayed away from you and him to leave you to it. I AM really sorry."
I looked at her in astonishment.
So I hadn't done what was right after all.
She was staying away from me to be a good friend...
"Omg... now I feel horrible for screaming atrocities at you," I said, chuckling and hugging her.
"It's okay," she responded "You didn't know what was going on and I should've told you from the beginning."
We separated and laughed.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"I'm sorry too," she echoed. "By the way... if we're confessing, there's something you should know..." Anne continues.
"Yeah?" I asked, curious.
"It's about James and Marja..."
