Tears (mermaid au) - Levi x Eren

Ten

After breakfast, Levi and I went back to his room. My legs were exhausted, so I asked Levi if it was okay if I spent some time in the tub, which he was okay with. I took off the pants and underwear and sat down on the edge. I put my legs in the tub and once I had my tail back I also took of the shirt. Levi folded the clothes and put them on a chair. Then he sat down on the edge of the tub with his feet in the water. Happily I placed my head on his lap again. Levi started to stroke my hair.

“Eren?”

“Yes?”

“What are you going to do once you have helped me?”

“I don’t know.” It was nothing more than a whisper.

“I want you to stay,” Levi said. “I want you to stay with me.”

I nuzzled my face into his lap.

“I wish I could stay with you forever, Eren. If only I were immortal, I’d never leave your side.”

Something happened in his heart, I could feel it. He meant what he said. He cared about me. At that moment, I could feel his love.

“I’ll stay with you, Levi,” I said. “I don’t want to leave you either.”

Levi pressed a kiss on the back of my head.

“I love you, Eren.”

“And I love you.”

We stayed quiet for a while. Levi was playing with my hair and I was softly purring. Then, there was a knock on the door. Petra opened the door and stuck her head inside.

“Captain, you need to come see this. There’s a storm coming up.”

Levi sighed. He stood up and walked towards the door. Before he left he turned around and smiled at me.

“Don’t leave, okay?”

I smiled back at him. “Never.”

Patra stayed behind, she was looking at her toes.

“Petra, are you alright?”

“You’re cute together,” she said. Then she giggled and left the room.

I smiled. We were cute together, that idea made me happy.
