Everyone stopped. Everyone fell silent. Cole smiled lightly, turning his head to look at the bed which Kai was led on. His eyes were open, a small smile on his face. Nya jolted to his side immediately clutching his hand, to which Kai responded with wincing as Nya held his hand tightly.
Jay came over, rubbing his hands on Nya's shoulders for comfort. Zane smiled, his electric blue eyes shone with happiness. The Green ninja was in tears, his emerald eyes glowing with relief. As for Cole........he was still smiling like an idiot, watching as he tried to sit, Cole bolted over, placing a hand on Kai's chest. He shook his head, and Kai sighed settling down again.
"It's been so long..." Nya sobbed into her brothers neck, lightly. "I know. It been to long...." He replied, weakly. "Thank the Spinjizu master" Lloyd said, wiping his eyes.
"It's good to see you again Brother" Zane adding a light pat on Cole shoulder, before smiling.
Cole didn't know what to say. His brother was alive and he.....he's okay.
"Ho- how are feeling?" Cole asked finally.
"Like shit. My head hurts, legs throbbing..." He had a puzzled look on his face when said that.
Jay sighed, resting a hand on Kai's shoulder before saying,
"Kai....you almost lost your leg. It's damaged badly, and your arm is broken too. I'm I'm sorry" Kai looked into Jay's eyes, years swelling up.
"Hey! If Cole had been one more second late, then........I wouldn't be here, so. Thanks Brookstone"" Kai finished. Cole smiled.
"Anything for you"
"Thanks. Cole..."
"All visitors please leave the building in ten thank you" a loud speaker came on telling the ninja to home. Kai smiled, thanking everyone.
After everyone else had gone, Cole smiled and leaned closer to Kai.
Pressing his lips to Kai forehead. Kai smiled back, before a nurse came in, holding a tray of food.
"Dinner time Mr Smith.." The nurse said, smiling sweetly.
Cole nodded and walked back out of the double doors to Kai's ward.
"A doctor will be in shortly, for a blood test is that okay?"
"Sure. That's fine" Kai response was flat, he couldn't stop thinking of Cole......
