The brown haired male was still and silent. His wound had been seen to, the operation to remove and repair his stomach was long and dreaded. Every nurse was on their toes and every doctor was heavy burdened. The fire ninja lay in their mercy.
A water drip was entering his veins slowly, a breathing tube was placed over his nose and mouth, multiple other tubes were attached to his body as infection was seeping in. The doctors wanted to flush out the infection before it started, however Kai's body was doing the opposite. It was shutting down. His heart rate was no longer normal, his breathing began to slow.
Nurses frantically rushed around, some pressing down on his chest to pump his heart. His vitals were low and his chances of survival were slim.
'We can't lose him.'
'Give him an adrenaline rush'
The adrenaline rush gave Kai's body a jerk, his heart returning slowly to its original pace. His breathing was steady.
However, this was one of many problems through out the night. Once, his heart stopped, and a nurse had to do the best thing on her own. She had to give him mouth to mouth to get a response. And she did, after all these casualties, Kai was in stable condition again. His legs were healed, and so was his arm.

Cole strolled into Kai's ward, a plastered frown on his face. To see his lover on the bed like this again, broke him.
Kai had been under surveillance for three days. The doctors persuaded the Ninja to go home.
After those days were up, Zane, Lloyd, Jay and Cole were all headed to the hospital by the time training was over. And they hated themselves. Lloyd was an emotional wreck, Jay was silent and kept giving off sparks of lightning on himself- this worried everyone else, because he was practically hurting himself with his 'little' shocks.
Zane was heartbroken and grief stricken.
As for Cole, he was at his worst. Today, Liu had said something that made Cole snap. He probably would of killed the guy if Lloyd hadn't pulled him back.
The words Liu spoke haunted the Ninja in their dreams. They bounced around in their heads.
It drove them mad.
