Ashton's Pov:
The rest of the weekend went by quickly. Dad hasn't been home.. which is honestly for the best. Dylan is doing better and Noah seems to never leave the house.
I still haven't talked since I did to Nate. I don't know what to say. 'Sorry for letting this happen..? sorry for being an awful sister..?' I don't know. So I don't talk.
I still use sign language though.. I'm just more.. introverted.
Today is Monday. I. Hate. Monday's.
It's almost summer break which is a good thing. We have like 2 more months of school. Once I get up and get dressed I decided I should check on Dylan.
I walk to his room and knock. I know he's awake by now because we have to leave in 30 minutes to start making our way to school.
Once I knock Noah answers the door. "Morning."
'Where's Dylan?' I sign.
He gives a perplexed look. I run to my room and grab a pencil and some paper. And write 'where's Dylan?' I show him the paper and he nods.
"In here. He's awake and dressed now. He should be out in a-"
"Morning Ash." Dylan appeared by Noah side.
'Morning.' I signed. I walked away and went to collect my school stuff. Then proceeded downstairs to get a small breakfast.
Minutes later Noah and Dylan came downstairs and got some breakfast too. When we were done we got into the car and headed to school. Noah drove with Dylan riding passenger. I had the back.
"It's gonna be okay Ash.." Dylan told me as he looked back at me.
'I don't know. Maybe. Hopefully.' I signed.
Neither of them ever brought up how I talked this past weekend. I was glad too because I didn't want to talk about it. They wouldn't understand.
Once we arrived at school, we all said our goodbyes and they made their way to their first class while I headed down to advanced art.
"Hey Ashton!" Nate caught up with me outside art.
'Hi.' I signed with a weak smile.
"Before we go to class I was wondering if I could show you something.. in the music room..?" Nate asked. He seemed nervous.
'Sure' I signed. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers while leading me to the music room.
I was nervous because he was literally holding my hand. He's not my boyfriend. I wish he was but he's not.
"Here.." he opened the door and led me inside. I've never been in here before but it's cool.
"Sooo I decided that I want you to hear my music. You're one of my best friends and I want to show you what I do. If you want to hear it that is?" Nate asked sitting down in a chair.
I nodded my head yes and gave a small smile.
"Great!" Nate said. He grabbed what I assume is his electric guitar and stood by a mic.
'You're gonna play it live? Not a recording?' I signed.
"Why would I do that?! I want to really show you what I can do!" He's so energetic and passionate about music. The way he is so happy and enthusiastic about this makes me happy.
